Tanah Marah

We loved our stay at Tanah Marah. The chalets were very well equipped and spacious. The grounds are amazing with lots to keep you occupied. Such an amazing spot and great for larger group getaways too!

So where to begin! We just finished our 4 night stay in Tanah Marah. What a beautiful place. The chalet was very spacious and clean. The kitchen is well equipped with even plastic cups and plates for kids. The owners are very nice and so welcoming. Our kids had a blast with running around with the owners' dogs, feeding the cows and sheep and walking to the library to pick books and DVDs. We really enjoyed doing the the walking trails as well.The location is very convenient being a short drive from Margaret River town center. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. We would definitely go back. Highly Recommend this place!

The perfect place for a weekend escape from the city. Only wish we had longer. The chalets are perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need and surrounded by the most amazing views. Thank you Linda & team for making us feel so welcome.

I don't even know where to begin! We stayed here last weekend and everything was perfect.
The communication was brilliant.
They are so welcoming, my partner went to check us in and I stayed in the car with our toddler. Linda, one of the owners, came out to the car just to say hello and introduce herself with her 3 lovely dogs.
The chalet itself was clean, spacious, welcoming, and had all the amenities you could need.
I really appreciated the plastic kids bowls as well as the normal plates and whatnot (one less thing to pack next time).
The location itself was 10/10. The beautiful lake and scenery it overlooks cannot be beaten. We stay in the Margaret River area frequently and this will now be our accommodation of choice.

Where to begin - this place is pure heaven. Upon arriving, it felt like coming home. So much care and effort has gone into Tanah Marah - from the beautiful lush grounds to the spacious and comfortable chalets with so many considered details (local, sustainable bath products, fresh milk in the fridge, eco friendly cleaning products).

We had the most incredible family time walking the tracks, kayaking with the kids, meeting the resident animals (Wally, Miranda, Annie and Panda) roasting marshmallows over the fire pit and enjoying a few wines with the most picturesque backdrop.

We cannot recommend Tanah Marah enough and would give it 10 stars if we could. Already booking our next trip!

An amazing place to spend if you are tired of the city life. Beautiful surroundings, neat and tidy. Sheep and cows are very friendly and adorable. The owner made us very welcome. Feels like home. Was sad to leave. Highly recommend 😊

Tanah Marah is family run and an oasis for those looking for a nature getaway. We (family of four) had an absolutely fantastic time and hope to go back one day.

Location is perfect - a short drive from Margaret River town, chalets are extremely well appointed, the goodie bags from the hosts are high quality and abundant in quantity, the walks and boat rides are just perfect!

Absolutely stellar place. We stayed for two nights in June and had an amazing time here.

The chalets are very well designed and built. Plenty of spaces. Well kitted kitchen. The bedroom has really good carpets. The bathrobe is absolutely comfortable, better than what I find in any five stars hotel. Whole house is air conditioned. They even provide blankets for the sofas.

Hot plate bbq is provided as well as small outdoor fire place with all the woods and fire starters. It was great to chill out there and even roast some marshmallows.

It is facing directly to the lake so its very private and has a great view. But you do have to be careful with little children and ensure they are supervised at all times.

The lake is really nice. They provided kayaks, standing paddleboard and even a small paddle boat to go on. We spent a few afternoons just paddling around the lake. There’s even a beach like space for kids to play with sands.

There is 9 hole golf courses, for which they provided the golf sticks and balls. There’s also lawn bowling.

The gym is not bad. I have attached some photos. Has enough to fit some exercises. The library next to it is pretty good too with some movies, toys and games for the young ones.

The trail around the property is pretty nice too. I really enjoyed my morning run.

Service was excellent and very friendly.

Location was great only 10 minutes drive to either Cowaramup or Margaret River. So easy to find foods.

All in all, I had one of the nicest stay here and would definitely be returning. Though they seem to book up fairly quick on popular dates!

This was hands down the most beautiful and relaxing holiday I have had in Margs yet. The hospitality of Linda and Rory is sensational, the villas and the property are stunning. There was so much to do and experience, the property naturally kept you outdoors and then the comfiest beds for a good night sleep. We will be back!

Tanah Marah is under-rated. The pictures dont do it justice. The hospitality of the owner family is amazing, making our stay memorable.

The resort offers such an amazingly serene and beautiful environment. It is also highly recommended for family. The kids can feed sheep, cows, play with the resident sheepdogs and even kayak in the lake. They even provide kids golf sets, how thoughtful.

The chalets are well equipped, clean, and comfortable. Amenities and toiletries are well stocked complete with sun block and body lotion.

Dont check in after sunset as it might be a bit difficult to find

This was possibly the best holiday I've had. The Margaret River region is beautiful, but Tanah Marah made it even more special. We found the cabins spacious, comfortable, and well equipped with a beautiful view of the lake and its spectacular sunsets! There are many activities available at the resort, and we played tennis, enjoyed the forrest walks, patted the cows, and watched the children paddleboard and row on the lake. There is also a golf course, gym and a library to enjoy. You would travel a long way to meet hosts as warm and engaging as Linda and Rory and the family. This is a place you will visit and never want to leave. HIGHLY recommended!

We had an absolutely sensational stay at Tanah Marah!
The location, service, chalets and serenity was only improved by the phenomenal hosting of Lucy, James and Linda. It was delightful to wake up to such beautiful scenery and have morning coffee watching the dogs run around the lake and property. The golf course was wonderful fun as was touring the property, it truly is a hidden gem I would recommend to anyone looking for an escape!

Beautiful stay at Tanah Marah, we have a toddler and she loved all the open space to run around, the toy library and cows.. so many beautiful walks to do around the property, you really don’t need to leave. The Chalets are impeccable too, well equipped, spotless and have all the creature comforts!

It’s a hidden gem. Being surrounded with nature and staying at Tanah Marah was one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had. Overlooking the lake, the chalet was comfortable, cozy and clean. Super warm and friendly hosts. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived.

Everything about our stay was impeccable. We stayed 3 days but want to move in!
As soon as you drive in it feels like you've stepped into a haven paradise away from the world and any worries or stresses.
The family that own Tanah Marah are such kind, warm and beautiful people plus their gorgeous dogs were such a treat to making this feel even more like a home away from home as they walked with us along the lake and through the stunning nature trails. We met the loving cows which made the stay even more memorable and unique.
The chalet itself was everything and more. The sounds of birds was incredibly serene and peaceful.
Being dog friendly meant we were able to bring a beloved dog Koa which made the stay so incredibly memorable and special to us. We can't wait to come back !

Another fabulous stay at Tanah Marah! This place is a hidden gem. Love that there is the option of activities (nature walks, canoes, tennis, golf) as well as just completely relaxing. Hands down my favourite place to stay in the Margaret River area!

Had a wonderful wedding weekend with tip top accommodation and helpful and hardworking event staff, despite the heat. Highly recommended.

So glad we discovered Tanah Marah. This place is perfect! The chalets are just gorgeous, EXTREMELY spacious and fully equipped (full kitchen!). The chalets are just a short drive to the Margaret River main street so you can be perfectly secluded but close to the action. We are already booking our next trip.

This is an exceptional place on so many counts - the setting is beautiful, the rooms and kitchen are very well appointed, library, gym, tennis courts are all great; as were the walks within the property. We did not feel like leaving the place to visit other Margaret River attractions because it was just so good to stay there. The hospitality and warmth was second to none. Would happily go there with friends and family.
