Sushi Dragon at Casuarina

Hospitality was great, the food came out really quickly and they're good portion sizes. I got the karage chicken rice bowl, the chicken was crunchy but tender, and the rice was fluffy and well cooked. I've only been here once but I'll certainly stop by again.

I have to say we rated this the worst place to eat in casuarina due to incorrect orders, average food, rude service and false adverting with opening hours.

Wow how things have changed! We gave them another go and they’ve turned it around. Firstly, the young lady on the register tonight was delightful. Food came out very quick and the curry karaage chicken was unbelievable! Recently they have obviously got it together. We are so so happy there’s a good Japanese place here now because my wife is Japanese.

Today there was one vege tempura missing but the one we got was so good I didn’t bother complaining!

Everyone deserves a second chance, let’s get behind them!

PS that young Aussie lady deserves a pay rise!

DELICIOUS. some of the best sushi i’ve had in a while. the young man that served us was so lovely. i’m not a local but i will be going back tomorrow to try the sweet chilli karaage chicken rice bowl!!

I’m all for supporting local businesses but…
This place (& it’s other in Kingscliff) used to be ok before they started putting up prices and reducing the quality. The reason I stopped buying sushi there… they started cutting the nori sheets & reducing the filling so that the rolls are smaller, more expensive and the nori rarely wraps fully around them now. The result:- the filling falls apart when you go to pick them up. Go to Cabarita 5 mins south to IZABU JAPANESE FOOD instead.

Very ordinary chicken katsu bowl. Bare minimum, schnitzel on white rice and that's it. No toppings or anything. For the price I'd expect a lot more than this.

Fresh salmon and avocado bowl arrived nothing like the advertised image. Barely over a teaspoon of avocado and stale rice. Quite a dampener on the morning.

Sushi was horrible and we ordered $130 worth. Most of the sushi was rice and we spat out the crab. We ate it and it still had crab shell in it. We asked for it to be freshly made so really disappointed and service was below average. Wouldn’t recommend it at all.

As a local, I know the menu has been changed to smaller sushi rolls, less fillings and higher prices. $29 (plus those transaction fees) for rolls and some edamame beans for 2 of us and it didn’t even come close to being satisfying. Last visit, never going back.

Very skimpy on serving sizes. Such a small amount of seaweed was used that the tiny sushi roll fell apart. The temperature of the Inari pocket (I had to pay for 2 even though I only wanted one) and 2 sushi rolls was too cold for my liking.
