This korean restaurant near world square serves a very good and handmade korean food. They specialise in black bean noodles (jajangmyeon) and imo is so so good. The other food that I recommend is the spicy pork, it is crispy, saucy and delicious. The guy who works in the kitchen, the uncle was very friendly and showed us how to enjoy the takeaway noodles. Overall, good experience and food!

Located in the heart of the city, this hidden gem offers a delightful culinary experience that will leave your taste buds tingling with joy. The jjajangmyeon, a Korean-Chinese dish featuring savory black bean sauce over noodles, is a standout on the menu. The rich flavors and perfectly cooked noodles combine to create a satisfying and comforting meal that is sure to please any palate.
In addition to the jjajangmyeon, the sweet and sour chicken is a must-try for anyone visiting this establishment. The crispy, golden-brown chicken is coated in a sweet and tangy sauce that strikes the perfect balance between flavors. Each bite is a delightful explosion of taste and texture that will have you coming back for more. With generous portions that are perfect for sharing, this dish is a crowd-pleaser that is sure to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. Overall, I highly recommend trying out this place for a dining experience that is not only delicious but also memorable.

The portion is so huge that only 2 dishes are suitable for 3 girls. Came for jjajangmyeon then ended up falling in love with sweet sour fried pork. Instead of giving free tap water, they gave us free iced tea 👍👍 Btw when we came in, there was a weird fishysmell that we cannot detect where it came from...

Jjajangmyeon was really good but the chicken wasn’t juicy enough

One of the authentic Korean restaurant in the area. Was quite surprised how good it was based on recommendations.

The Jajangmyeon was probably the best I've had. Big serving and taste great. The garlic chicken was so crispy and just good amount of heat. Sweet and sour pork is good as well. Serving size for those is huge as well.

Just a not that they have a 1.8% surcharge on eftpos and no amex.

The 짜장면 (jjajangmyeon) was great, a big portion and noodles were chewy and well cooked. They brought out bone chicken instead of boneless by accident, but they were very prompt and generous in correcting the mistake! Overall a nice authentic korean restaurant :)

Really delicious spot! We were craving jajangmyeon and tried a spicy and non spicy one. We also tried a fried chicken. The jajangmyeon was super good and the spicy was the nice warming kind of spice like you would want in a good curry. I hope to eat here again!

I had the spicy seafood noodle and it is amazing! You can tell they use fresh seafood, the softness of the noodle is perfect! Not sure if it’s authentic but its right up my alley.

We had dinner here in January 2024 while visiting from Toronto and loved it. Portion sizes are large: when two of us ordered the crispy garlic chicken, bulgogi and vegetable rice to share, we realized we had ordered more than we needed. We had PLENTY of food and enjoyed it all! Friendly service, delicious food, and great value for dinner 👍

OMG - Delicious!
We ordered the spicy seafood noodles - one of the most delicious seafood dishes I've ever eaten! Great flavours, so fresh, and so many different seafoods: fish, squid, octopus, mussels, prawns plus as many different varieties of mushroom! This dish was to share and the price reflected the portion size - but well worth it as long as you have a friend or two to help you eat it all!
Also got the fried dumplings which were fresh and crisp and yummy also.
Very grateful for the free tea 😊

Will DEFINITELY come here again!

Exceptional food and very quick service. The chopsticks work exceptionally well. A very pleasurable group experience. We enjoyed the meal and discussed clubbing in Europe, specifically the Berghain. One of our party recently clocked 62 hours there over a few nights out. He was in Berlin for 10 weeks so approx 5% of his time was spent in the greatest party on earth. Will definitely be returning to Kao Kao! Thanks for having us.

The spicy seafood jjajangmyeon was simply awesome. Too bad I was traveling on business alone and I didn't have space for the tangsuyuk because that was also ordered by everyone else in the restaurant. I highly recommend this place. Almost everyone in the restaurant was Korean so I trusted all the online reviews about it. I'll bring other colleagues here in the future for their jjajangmyeon fix in Sydney.

Hot, delicious and comforting asian food! Highly recommend to try Kao Kao at least once when visiting Sydney. Must try their Jajangmyeon and their fried chicken. I love that their fried chicken doesn’t require me to peel it off a bone but are small bite-sized pieces! Servings are big enough for 2 pax.

i ordered the spicy seafood jjajangmyeon and it was delicious! the spice level was about the same as shin ramyun instant noodles. the staff was polite and efficient, the restaurant looked nice and the music was pleasant and not at all overwhelming.
