My favorite local coffee shop. It’s such a a cozy and warming space. They have amazing service , are all pretty knowledgeable and have great food and drinks (coffee and tea).
My partner who is a heavy coffee drinker loves their coffee but I love their matcha and chai latte.
They are constantly coming out with new desserts , tarts and matcha cheesecake are amazing.
Across visits we’ve also had lunch and their pastrami sandwiches are amazing. They also have Indonesian dishes which we weren’t as familiar with but have enjoyed a lot.
They’ve started with a new dinner menu so keen to try that out soon.

(Photos with permission from the staff) By the recommendation from Flow Espresso Specialist, the world-class cafe in Adelaide, I came here for another world-class caffee in Sydney. Best wishes to your friendship!

The cappuccino was great, with a very balanced taste. I wish I had been studying in USYD/UTS because they have so many great cafe in Ultimo.

Matcha cheese cake is not shown on the menu but it tastes really good. The staff are all friendly and they even offer free wi-fi service. We will surely revisit this restaurant and try other dish.

The food that I got was so so for me I’d say not bad but not special. I like the service and the cold brew there.

The q has dinner now!!!! Thanks for sharing the stories of each dishes really detailed, while the food is pretty good and with traditional home indo cooking, long process efforts, and kind price, I can taste it even more by listening to the explanation and cultures. Sharing cultures through food.

Best coffee in the area! Breakfast is amazing too just a little pricey. Eggs on toast for $15 seems a bit steep but to be fair they are great! Would love to see a coffee n breakfast bundle offer. I will be returning regardless for the coffee.

Great breakfast place. You have good coffee, a variety of choices of sandwiches, toast as well as Indonesian dishes. Service was attentive and staff were personable. Worth the walk to get there from where we stayed.

Small intimate cafe, we were welcomed and sat in the front. We didn’t realise there was a courtyard until part way through our meal.
Coffee was outstanding, roasted fresh in-house.
Food was great, their version of a Ruben was fantastic.

Specialty coffee and home made on site bakery - especially like their beef and mushroom empanadas & choco croissant. For lunch, the Indonesian dishes are yum - Bakie ayam, Nasi rawon, and the Japanese tofu omelette are my fav.

The Q Signature scramble eggs were delicious! The Reuben Wagyu Sandwich was incredible. We grabbed some of their homemade banana bread before heading off and that was also incredible! Service was also very friendly and speedy

I lived in Ultimo for a few years, walked pass this door millions of times, it’s so odd I never walk in until today.
Behind the narrow door, they have a cute courtyard with shades where you can eat and relax.
Their scramble egg on sourdough you must try. Price is super friendly.

Q on Harris has been my favourite place to stop by for a nice relaxing coffee whenever I’m in the city. The coffee and food was pleasant for someone who just got out from the airport like me.

Lovely intimate cafe located centrally between the Powerhouse and UTS. I got the Reuben which i was definitely not disappointed with; it was full of rich flavors. The only thing i would change is the construction of the sandwich itself- As their Reuben comes with only one piece of bread. This is purely a preferential thing but i do like to be able to hold my sandwich as i eat it over a knife and fork.

All the gluten free items are individually wrapped super safe from the other pastries 😍

Wow the coffee, just wow. I scooped some of the crema off the top of my flat white to taste before drinking out and it was so good. The coffee is light, acidic, fruity. Clearly single origin and if it wasn't a milk coffee I'd have a better chance picking up specific flavour notes.
Damn, actually did a double take I was so surprised but how good the crema was.

Coffee to milk ratio is well balanced, temperature is great. It's a perfect coffee.

As well as indoor seating there is a dining area outside that can be covered during poor weather. I found it nice in the sunshine.

The barista I met on the day was really friendly and obviously made a great drink. The owner Benji is so passionate about coffee, and it's quite fun to see the roasting occurring on-site along with cupping (coffee tasting) sessions.

The food menu looks really interesting though I haven't tried anything yet, being on a strict gluten free diet I'll need to have a further chat about my options.

The Q on Harris excels! For my second trip here I opted for the Farmer’s Mushroom Tartine. A wonderful mixture of sautéed mushrooms and spinach placed upon a thick miche sourdough toast. I strayed from the menu a bit and added a poached egg. Although the dish would have been great on its own, I loved the addition of a runny yolk. For coffee, I had the cold brew that’s made with their in-house roasted beans and packaged/served in a cute bottle. The cold brew was perfectly refreshing on this hot muggy Sydney day.

Needless to say, I really enjoyed this place. Great coffee, unique menu, the staff (Cindy, even remembered my name from Friday), and it’s been a great location to unwind and do some people watching.

I had a great conversation with the shop’s owner. We talked for a good 20 minutes while he fired up his roaster. Charting about our love for different coffee varieties (Indonesian in particular) and why he preferred to roast his own beans. Benji was wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable.

If you are ever in Sydney, or live locally and have not been here...I beg you to try them out. You’ll certainly get hooked!

Conveniently located across from The Powerhouse Museum, this cute corner cafe offers indoor & outdoor seating in a cosy courtyard as well as on site coffee roasting. An all day menu showcases a variety of modern dishes with Asian, French & American influences. The Kabuki waffle is fried chicken & waffles with Korean accents. It came with glossy, caramelised chicken pieces which were sweet, juicy & tender. The waffles are made with a spicy batter & had a real kick. Bibimbap is another dish showcasing the Korean influence in a healthier way. Japanese features in the yuzu brulee tart which has beautiful acidity in the light custard that contrasts with the sweet buttery base & caramel praline top. Pandan brulee tart was fragrant, although sweeter then the yuzu but just as delectable. You cannot eat here without trying the Matcha cheesecake with Oreo base. It has a good matcha flavour without being overly sweet or bitter. The texture is silky yet dense & the Oreo base was the perfect vessle for carrying the creamy cake. Having their own rostery means a great coffee to be had and with friendly service also, this makes a perfect trendy yet relaxed meal.
