Henrietta Surry Hills

We're a group of 7 and getting a table was not difficult at all on a Sunday unlike other places around the area. Ordered the chicken bowl with mujadara rice, hummus and tabbouleh for $25. Fresh ingredients and delicious. Service was quick and no fuss. They charged around 12.5% surcharge.

The food is lovely! Reasonably well-priced and great serving sizes for sharing. The chips were so so good and the tabouli and coleslaw were really fresh and tasty. The lamb koftas were also cooked perfectly. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful, will definitely come back here.

I’ve been here a few times and I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere as well as their chicken. It’s definitely one of the best chicken places I’ve been too, especially since all of their sides and all the sauces are so delicious paired with the chicken. Also very well priced and well worth it.

Great for getting together with friends and pretty easy to get a reservation online.

Henrietta’s has been on my list to try for a good while, but wasn’t only until a few days ago when I finally tried it and I’m now kicking myself for not eating here sooner. Everything about this meal was beautiful - the chicken (especially the skin), the garlic sauce, some of the best chips I’ve had in Sydney and a coleslaw that complements the meal. Two of us shared a half chicken meal with side of chips and was the perfect amount of food.

Wowowow what a lovely chicken shop! The food was very good. Juicy and tender chicken and lovely cauliflower salad side 😃. The atmosphere and the little details of the restaurant, from the plates/cups/wipes are all with a personalised touch, it's clearly from a restaurant owner with a lot of love and pride for the restaurant! The dining atmosphere is great! Great for group/friend dates, or chill date with S/O 🥰

With places like this you often expect the chicken will be the star of the show, with a weak supporting cast but with Henrietta that is far from the truth. The chicken was great but I’ll be back for the fattoush and ganoush. What a great find!

There really isn’t a better charcoal chicken in Sydney! The chicken is delicately marinated and incredibly moist. If you walk around Crown Street, the smell will make you hungry.
Laura is great and always ensures you get the freshest chicken of the day.

We’re lovers of charcoal chicken, so we were naturally pleased to have an invite from our mate Pete to join him. We had tried Henrietta Charcoal chicken before, but just for takeaway. The restaurant is also a casual eatery. This time, we dined in and had an early booking. We began with beers, and were were intrigued to learn that they make their own, the “Lager of Love”, in partnership with Yulli’s brew. They’ve also got wines and cocktails, to get your night out started.

We then look through the menu, and would have been keen for so much or what the menu has to offer, but we opt for the meal. The whole chicken comes with chicken, bread, salad and pickles.

The focus is the chicken and it is good, delicious flavour, a good amount of char and moist juicy chicken, perfect on some Lebanese pita bread with tabouleh, pickles and of course some toum (garlic sauce). Don’t forget to order fries too, as they’re super good with the sumac seasoning!

The cauliflower salad (or more like broccoli salad) was really good and a superb side choice. Other salads and mezze are available, like haloumi, falafel and charred corn.

This was the perfect amount of food for the three of us, but if you’re more hungry, you could order some more; like shish, kofta or shawarma.

Always amazing I love love love this place! If you want some good chicken and sides this is the place to go. The garlic toum is insane I want it on everything, fries are to die for, theres a generous amount of pita bread and all the sides are delish. Perfect perfect I love Henrietta 💕

Amazing restaurant, great attention to detail. Food is incredible, well considered with quality ingredients. Laura our waitress was excellent, in fact, so were all the staff. Could do with a couple more soft furnishing, is a little loud. But certainly worth a visit.

Went for a late lunch. First time visitor and the staff were really friendly and helpful with the menu. Had to try the charcoal chicken obvs but also the Wagyu burger. Not my usual style but bloody good. Would be an amazing place to dine with guests and a big spread.

Food was lovely, the chicken was tasty and succulent. Brussel Sprouts were amazing def don’t miss them. Our waitress Barbara was very helpful & food came really quickly. Def will come back

I had dinner here last night and it exceeded all of our expectations. Everything tasted so good and so fresh we tried the cold mezze dips (hummus and eggplants), kebabs, rice, fries, shish tawook, and charcoal chicken. I especially loved the charcoal chicken which tasted authentic and clean without too much seseasnigs or the artifical tatse of tenderizers which you usually find in most charcoal chicken shops. The service was excellent and they were accommodating to our family. The atmosphere and vibes of the place were really nice. Only thing is the bathroom could use a better lighting and extra space. Overall, We loved everything and will definitely visit again.

Wonderful food and excellent service. We had the hummus and halloumi starters and then the whole chicken meal, complemented with a Lebanese and South Australian white. Everything was delicious, but particularly both starters. The hummus was incredibly creamy and topped with tasty olive oil, and the halloumi was drizzled in delicious honey. The whole chicken was really moist and flavoursome.
