The first Korean restaurant I went when I started work in Sydney 2012.
Ever since than I will drop by once a while for a meal or two with my friends and colleagues after work or after booze hour as they open till past midnight.
Food is really good missus loves their spicy pork especially, but a year or two back the dishes seems to shrinks. Cutting cost maybe but still we keep on visiting as the atmosphere and ambience is cool and friendly and service is fast and efficient too.
Pressing the bell on the side of table for ordering or service. Staff will always repeat your order to final confirm. All the floor staff are Korean, even the manager but simple English is no problem to them. If they can’t answer your questions, they would ask the manager or senior to attend your table so there is nothing to worry bout the orders got wrong.
It’s very busy every time and sometimes we have to wait for half an hour + to get a table for 2 only but the place is really good, consider on the fast pace and non-stop customers coming in and out.
You wouldn’t regret to dine in here for sure, I’ve been around for 6 years in madang and still can’t get enough of it. Had my pre 40th birthday dinner and drinks last year there too.

Loved this Korean BBQ place. Queue was a bit of a wait despite being a Tuesday night, but it was worth it. The seafood pancake was crispy and had lots of flavour. The meats were marinated and they changed the hot plates regularly. The fried chicken was good, too.

Madang is one of the original and best Korean restaurant in the 'Korea Town' area. I've been coming here for years and it's stood the test of time due to the consistently high quality food offering. Even though they offer the usual Korean BBQ, their a la carte offering is actually the better choice when it comes to dining options. They always have a line waiting outside, so be prepared to wait for a table.

Nice and authentic Korean restaurant with gas/charcoal grills. You have around 20 different meats to choose from for the grill, partially marinated and partially raw. The waiters are nice, fill up the side dishes on request, and also frequently change the grill plates on which you put the meat on. You also have Korean beer and 2 Soju to choose from as well. Would recommend visiting.

Awesome authentic Korean food with fast and friendly services. Excellent value for money. Lots of choices but the pancake is out of this world, try it and you will know what I mean. Be sure to arrive early to avoid waiting. No appointments allowed.

If you're after a night of lots of marinated meats, soju, BYO wine and a big group of friends, then Medang is the right place to go!

Loved the marinades on the seafoods and meats, the ribs were delicious and the staff are very attentive and friendly. They helped us cook our food, whilst we enjoyed multiple bottles of soju.

What's really unique about Medang is their large sharing dishes which have families and groups in mind. I particularly loved the seafood pancake, marinated beef short ribs, stir fry starch noodles with mushroom and the deep fried chicken in a sweet and sour sauce.

Definitely will be returning, great casual atmosphere and great for a meal before going out clubbing or drinking!

Good food at a bustling Korean BBQ place, right in ther heart of the city, 'hidden' away in a lane off Pitt Street. Have been coming at intervals over the past 13 years and the food has remain consistent, especially their Japchae dish that I absolutely love, second only to their barbecue meat. The wait can be long, and they lost my online booking, so had to wait for a table like the other plebs. But so worth it once we got our table. Staff are attentive and friendly. Varieties of dishes available. Gomabseubnida for a lovely dinner. Will definitely come back again, as always.

Man, this place should get all the stars for their flavors and presentation. It was absolutely delicious and if I lived in Sydney it would be my go to spot. Everything our group ordered was delicious. I can't recommend this place enough.

The food and banchan are absolutely delicious. Busy place but don't take long for seat on a weekday night. Staff are really quick and friendly, just remember to press the bell on the table if you need service.

Great korean food. Bit pricy but worth it. Service is good as well. Great atmosphere and great bbq. My fav is Al tang (fish roe soup). Taste so good. But almost everything is good. Highly recomended.

Great place for korean bbq or traditional korean dishes. The bbq platter had alot of variety, great flavours and fresh.

They allow bookings, minimum four or more people; otherwise be prepared to wait for a table as it is always busy.

Went there yesterday for dinner and their service is good. Our food came really fast and the waiter actually told us what seasoning is for which dishes. They taught us the correct way to bbq particular meat. I’m a fan of their pancake, a lil bit crisp. Pricy but overall good experience and would come back for second visit.

Unexpectedly went there for dinner. Modern-looking restaurant with friendly staff, great food. A lot of Korean people were dining there, as well. They have plates with meat which is cooked on a barbeque in the table. It was something we had never seen before and we would recommend this experience and food to everyone.

Great quality meat, attentive and welcoming.
Busy so expect to wait during peak hours.
They use charcoal unlike other bbq places that are gas powered only, gives a nice flavour
