Hakatamon Ramen

I had the Tonkotsu. It was delicious. A generous amounf of pork, and a broth that had a mild spice.

The interior seating is well packed but still feels open. The staff are polite. The food was quick. There is no fault or complaint.

Service is amazing! They serve your ramen really fast which makes this place perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. Their ramen is very tasty. The broth is flavorful and incredibly aromatic. Good portion sizes as well.

Our experience at Hakatamon Ramen over the weekend was truly exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the warmth and hospitality of the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Their kindness shone through as they graciously accommodated our kids’ request to have McDonald’s due to an elder child’s sesame allergy, understanding the limitations with dishes free from sesame seeds or oil. This level of consideration and understanding towards dietary needs was remarkable and made our visit stress-free.

Now, onto the culinary delights – the White Tonkotsu Ramen and the Spicy Miso Tonkotsu Ramen were absolute highlights of our meal. The White Tonkotsu Ramen boasted a velvety smooth broth that was incredibly flavorful and comforting, while the Spicy Miso Tonkotsu Ramen was a perfect balance of heat and rich, savory notes. Each spoonful was a testament to the chef’s expertise and dedication to authenticity.

In addition to the delectable food, the ambiance was cozy and inviting, complementing the overall dining experience. Coupled with the staff’s exceptional service and their willingness to go above and beyond for their patrons, Hakatamon Ramen sets a standard for both remarkable cuisine and unparalleled hospitality. This restaurant undoubtedly earns our highest recommendation for those seeking not only delicious Japanese fare but also a caring and accommodating dining environment.

The place is nice, very recommended to go to. The tonkotsu taste authentic, very recommended to try the hakatamon tonkotsu. If you don't like spicy, you could ask for the chili to be separated

This restaurant is really traditional Japanese restaurant.
I got the traditional white tonkotsu ramen and bonito misso tonkotsu ramen.
The traditional white tonkotsu was tasty 🤭 not too salty with rich flavour.
The bonito misso tonkotsu ramen the noodle is different but matched with the flavour, it also have rich bonito flavour in broth.
As a traditional Japanese restaurant you can order a Kaedama, that is extra noodle so you can enjoy the remaining of the broth.
The kaedama was $3 that is pretty fair price!
I recommend this restaurant.

Hakatamon Ramen is a chain restaurant that I've visited a few times now. Unfortunately, my friends picked this place so I was unable to try something different but I can now say, with confidence, that it's always a great experience. Hakatamon Ramen consistently deliver high-quality dishes that never disappoint.

The food always tastes fresh and delicious. The broth is flavorful and perfectly seasoned, and the noodles are always cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of chewiness. The toppings, too, are always top-notch, with generous portions of high-quality pork, egg, and other ingredients.

Aside from the outstanding food, the restaurant also has a great atmosphere, with a cozy and modern interior that makes it the perfect spot for a lunch or dinner. The service is friendly but a tad disorganised. This however didn’t detract from the overall experience which was pleasant and enjoyable.

As much I like the combo of prawn and pork infused broth, you do have to finished this dish quickly before the broth getting cold.
Once the broth cold or even luke warmed, you won’t be enjoying as much as it should be.
Karaage was good, crunchy and light!

Favourite ramen spot in Sydney! The most authentic and flavourful ramen you’ll find. Love their original white tonkotsu but personal favourite is the light shoyu tonkotsu which has chewy frizz noodles, an amazing broth with a hint of yuzu zest and plenty of toppings.

We have tried lots of ramen in Sydney and this one does not disappoint. We ordered the tonkatsu signature ramen with and without black garlic. Creamy rich broth. Very tasty and super quick service!

Had weekend out exploring darling quarter, got in as the doors were opening for lunch. The place filled up immediately, which was a great sign. With such a nice weather that day we opted for outdoor seating.
We ordered their speciality Hakata-Maru ramen the one with the black garlic, it was so delicious. Service was quick and easy, serving size was on the money.

Fantastic ramen.... can honestly say the best ramen I have tasted in Sydney to date.
It has overtaken my favourite which was IChiban Boshi....( sorry!)
Great aldente ramen with fragrant soup that’s not sickly like some broth that could be rather thick n heavy ... Ryo Ramen , comes to mind...
Their buns are very tasty too. We always order the Trio ( Karaage Chicken, Tempura Prawn n braised Pork)

Nice selection of ramens, fast service and a great ambience.

The prawn tonkotsu ramen is an absolute banger. The frizz noodles are just the right amount of chewy, the chashu tender, wontons full of flavour and the broths just perfect.

The best ramen I have ever tried! Truly authentic 😍 The broth was flavoursome! (Burnt garlic) The noodles was super soft and bouncy!! Lots of goodness in the bowl! The pork was super tender! I would go back to try a different ramen bowl next time!

The fried chicken was super crispy and tasty! A little sweet and salty, perfectly cooked! Soft and tender inside!

Ramen was delicious. I had the veggie Ramen with extra egg and was really nicely flavoured, beautiful silky noodles, and tasty toppings of mushrooms, eggs, tofu mince and a couple of other things. All really tasty. It is a pretty busy place at lunchtime but tables turnover reasonably quick so we didn’t have to wait long. Enjoyed a couple of the sides too.

Food was excellent . Service was good . Price is reasonable for the vegetarian vegan ramen delicious . The wooden seats by the bar windows are super hard .. i suggest they put cushions .

Delicious tasting broth. Highly recommend the Kids Tonkotsu Ramen. Also, the Karaage Bao was nice too, as the chicken was crunchy and succulent on the inside. It was refreshing to have cold water in a Japanese restaurant, as well as allowing customers such as myself who prefer smaller portions to purchase kids meals.

Great service and location. Outdoor seating was excellent as it is generally away from the thoroughfare and crowds. The Bao Trio was good. The Signature Ramen was excellent with a deep tasting dark broth and a hint of char. Highly recommended!

Takoyaki was soft and delicious and was cooked perfectly.
Ramen was perfectly seasoned with delicate favours of pork coming thru the broth. Ramen noodles were cooked perfectly keeping them little chewy and full of flavour. Service was quick and servers were helpful as well. Decent seating place inside the shop as well. Karage chicken bowl also looked beautiful maybe that’s on the list for next time.

Deliciouuuuussss Ramen!! One of the best I've had in Sydney...and I've been to plenty of ramen places. This restaurant seems to capture the taste of traditional Japanese ramen a little more I think. Give their signature dish a try, you won't be disappointed!!
The takoyaki and bao sides were great too!
Would definitely come here again! 👍
