Delicioussss - always love eating here! It’s definitely more of a treat yourself kind of restaurant - as it is not cheap.

The service here was wonderful though, they were able to move us inside because of the cold and because they were trying to fix the ceiling they treated us to a free cocktail and also free dessert. Very kind of them although we didn’t really mind. Thankful for their service, the waiters were so lovely

Delicious food, good size servings, cocktails were impeccable and the service was excellent.

It was fairly expensive $90 for two salads and two cocktails.
I wish the salad had a bit more actual salad in there. it was really tasty but mostly noodles and chicken.

Love it!
The mushroom noodle & "Chanh yay" are both very tasty! Will try the roasted eggplant next time!

Great friendly service, so detail oriented and asked about allergies which we really appreciated. Food portions were great and flavours worked really well together. Particularly impressed with the Ban Xeo, which I wanted to try after walking past the restaurant and seeing other people order it. Jewelled rice was also really yummy.

The pancake is a must try, crispy and crunchy. The cocktail was amazing. Pho noodle soup was quite delicious as well. The rice paper snake plate need half hour to prepare but you won’t be disappointed. Although it was too much for two people I need to take away. A very good dinning experience will definitely come back.

My dad had seen an advertisement for this place and had been wanting to eat here for a long time. It did not disappoint!

I’m the only vegetarian and ordered the banh xeo (crispy crepe) with burdock from the veggo menu. It was so tasty that the rest of the family devoured it too!

My family also shared the Goi Cuon (rice paper roll kit) with extra tiger prawns. According to them, it was all really good, especially the marinade sauce for the beef loaf and the extra prawns well worth it. One family member ate all of the pork belly so we’ll have to come back to give the others a chance to try it. The spring rolls give a great crunch.

My sister really enjoyed the pho and mentioned that the meat was really good. Dad seemed particularly taken by the soup.

The best part, however, was the friendly service. Staff were always happy to help and offer suggestions in regards to the menu. The only thing I’ll mention is that the sauce amount is small and it’s so delicious that it’s gone so quickly (staff are happy to give extra though!)

Thanks again, Hello Auntie!

📍Hello Auntie, Darling Sqaure

The location is on the Main area in darling square quarter. I would recommend to catch public transport as it's only a 10 min walk away from central station or a few min walk from the tram stop, I would advise you to check street parking for availablities.

🚶I would highly recommend walking as it’s close by to the tram stop near Haymarket or central station. There is Wilson parking in darling square.

The pho was $22.00 very affordable compared to the other places close by.

The pho dac biet was 10/10 super tasty! And the com thap cam pork jowl was delish!

They have both dine in and take out option, there is a lot of seating inside and outside! Wouldn’t recommend to sit outside if it’s cold. They provide light blankets to cover legs when it’s chilly at nights.

Overall experience is 10/10

I booked an evening at Hello Auntie in Darling Square last week for a group of around 30 colleagues from work. We had some people in the group that had quite specific dietary requirements - nothing was a problem for Evans and the crew - they catered to our every need and were so welcoming!
The food was delicious, and the ambience was wonderful, in the pretty outdoor setting by the tree with the fairy lights. Lovely place for dinner, not at all pretentious, just good food, great service, a friendly smile and nice atmosphere - suitable for groups or intimate dining.
We all had a lovely night - thanks so much!!

The whole experience was exceptional, the food was amazing but the service is where the real difference was. We were assisted with the menu, the waiter made suggestions that made a real difference to the overall food experience.
And best of all our drinks were never empty. Thank you for an exceptional experience.

Loved my experience at Hello Auntie! I was so impressed by the creativity in the food and how they've brought new life to Vietnamese flavours. The highlights for me were the rigatoni, Banh Khot, and the passionfruit crème brûlée tart. All three of these dishes were absolutely heavenly and dishes I'd come back for. The service was also so accommodating and friendly, definitely highly recommend this place!

The food is absolutely delicious and so underrated and under appreciated. The seating is nice and portions were amazing for the value. Highly recommend the mi goreng along with the mushroom noodle dish and the eggplant wontons are to die for.

Amazing food. Generous portions and reasonable pricing. Good variety for dietary needs too and everything tasted very fresh. Drinks menu has good variety also with some fun little cocktails (grab a 'Funky Night' for some dazzling cocktail fun). Definitely recommend the Barramundi and the Prawn fried rice to complement as a shared side. Absolutely delicious. Everyone in our group left feeling very full and very satisfied.

The pho is a little pricey but it's DELICIOUS! Just get the pho. The salad is digusting, it had chips on it, with mayo and something that tasted fishy. It wasn't Vietnamese salad and was disgusting.

Had a lovely experience here. Gal friend and I had the bottomless brunch experience. The service was great. Vy our attendant really looked after us. She was super attentive and pleasant. She made the experience fun. The food was tasty. They served us the beef tartare and squid/calamari and a make your own Vietnamese roll with sausage, chicken, pork and some vegetable spring roll also gave us fried rice. We hardly touched the rice because we were full. All the dishes I couldn't fault and enjoyed every mouth full. The flavours for me and my friend were just right. I would say we didn't need the rice and felt it was food wasted and would have preferred a sweet treat instead to cap/finish off. We stuck with drinking the lychee spritzer. We both thought it was a refreshing drink for the entire meal. We both felt that it was good value at $70pp bottomless drinks and a big meal. Note that when booking the bottomless brunch they asked for a 50% deposit. We will definitely come back and bring family and friends to try their other dishes. But would recommend the bottomless brunch to anyone who just wants a simple no brainer experience. It gives more time to chat and catch up instead of choosing what to order. Thank you to the chef and Vy and staff for the lovely experience.

Darling Square, anytime is great to visit and sample many great restaurants in this precinct. Hello Aunty, modern Vietnamese restaurant caught our attention and we managed to grab a table next tot he green square and under the fairy light trees.

Busy bees the wait staff, nursing all the outdoor dining patrons, yet still managed to look after us like the queen bee. QR code menu made it easier to work through the extensive list of food available to taste; $65 and $85 set menu for 4 people or a la cart. The drinks menu is also extensive. May be it is just me, but I do like a simple menu to read as it can be overwhelming with many pages to read with both Vietnamese and English.

Tempted to go with the set menu to avoid navigating through the menu on the phones, I am glad that I persisted as the food selected, I believe, show cased their prowess.
The Skull Island prawns was well cooked, prawn shell crunchy and the chilli sauce made a good paring to bring out the sweet prawn meat. The Wagyu beef cube in mushroom sauce was a umami mushroom bomb and the fries used to mop up the sauce was yummy - call me simple, I ended up making a small loaded fries on my dining plate, much to my wife’s disgust!!

The mushroom noodle was soft, saucy, and full of mushroom chunks make it delicious to eat. The scallop fried rice was well cook - you can taste the wok flavour - soft whole scollops paired well with the small prawn crackers. Hint of chilli to round of the umami flavour made this dish special. The grilled octopus salad was a good mouth cleanser with the soft octopus and papaya salad. Well balanced dressing, a little salty, sweet and sour; my mouth was dancing. The scollop ceviche was light - for a moment I thought I was eating Japanese - wrapped my palette together with the chilli bomb. My favourite, the deep fried tofu was the bomb. Crunchy outside, soft silky inside. The dipping sauce brings together the soft taste with hits of umami.

Certainly, a special celebration event restaurant; good quality, great atmosphere and good service. Go and try, celebrate with your love ones on a special event.

Love supporting local restaurants who not only do great food, offer excellent customer service & are following strict Covid-safe practices. We were socially distanced from other diners which helped me relax about being out in Covid times.
The food did not disappoint! The beef tartare was a standout for me it we enjoyed all the dishes we ordered.
