Was absolutely blown away by the experience as a whole.
We were there for our birthdays and they gave us a private room.
The quality of the beef was the best I have ever tasted. Starting with the Tartare was just wow and even though pricey the 9+ was well worth the cost. Genuine melt in your mouth beef.
The service was super quick and the waitresses were very friendly. Ordered a cocktail to start and a sake flight before moving onto a carafe.

Would and have recommended this place to dozens of people.

Staff are friendly and attentive to service. We asked for help to take photos for us and they also explained the different types of sashimi on the plate when serving.
Food quality is amazing, plenty of drinks and options for food. Price is somewhat expensive.

My visit to Rengaya in North Sydney was a true treat. The quality of their wagyu cuts was outstanding, matched only by their fresh and delightful sashimi. Notably, the scampi was a standout for me, offering a burst of exquisite flavors. Rengaya's commitment to offering an exceptional Japanese BBQ experience is evident, making it a definite recommendation for those who appreciate top-quality dining.

The restaurant location and vibe is awesome, Waugh and other food are very fresh. Most of chef and staff are Japanese so you can feel the authentic Japanese couture.
The only downside is parking during Sunday, the lift in greenwood plaza can’t go to ground floor directly, you have to walk and share same drive way with other running cars, it’s a bit of security concern

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary here and wow, did we love every moment of our experience! The entire establishment just speaks class. Service was fantastic. The servers were so helpful and lovely and the food was truly amazing!

A couple things that really stood out to us in our meal was the Wagyu Beef which absolutely lived upto its reputation and also the O-Toro which arrived from Japan the day before and again was melt in your mouth.

It is expensive but the quality and service are first rate. You need to book early to make sure you get a table. The atmosphere is casual which makes it very relaxing to dine here. The staff are very professional and catered well for our needs.

I just tried their bento box 🍱 take away and it was already soooooo delicious. Can’t wait to try their restaurant next time. The price is higher than usual but you get what you pay for

We’ve been twice and looking to go again for date night for valentines.
The wagyu short rib is easily the best thing you’ll ever have. Every accompaniment is on point. Rengaya will not disappoint you!

Staff are very attentive to service. Food selection was amazing, great drinks and options for food. Trendy atmosphere and very clean bathrooms. One thing I would suggest is that the Umeshu Soda's I ordered were a bit weak and watered down. I would have liked to taste more of the umeshu. Otherwise, I would come back here easily even though it is at the higher end of dining, it's worth spending money for a carefree night with friends.

Definitely one of my favourite Japanese restaurants. Good quality Wagyu beef, range of choices of Japanese whisky / sake.

The first time I came here we ordered desert at the end , the sesame ice cream was so delicious!
The second time we had a great time too , but the wagyu sushi we ordered, the rice was a bit soft . But overall we all had a great time.

Firstly we were very grateful that the manager could squeeze us in on a fully booked (online) night. The welcome and service was wonderful, although as per a previous review it would be better if they could explain how best to use the grill (specifically the mushrooms - you should leave them in the tin foil dish they come in as it has garlic butter). The decor and ambience are stunning and acoustics great, as noise levels perfect.
We chose the Sake listed under the Red Dragon choice & it was fruity & smooth. Dessert- Coffee jelly with icecream, left me speechless, uncommon for me lol. My husband and I will definitely be back to experience again soon 🙏 10/10

Amazing experience. Will definitely be returning in future. The noodle soup was very tasty and the exact correct mix of salty and sweet. A nice and relaxing experience which emboldens one’s soul. The Beef that we had, along with the sushi rolls were of purest perfection. They were so refined that they simply had a “melt in the mouth” sensation as it grasped the surface of my tongue.

Ultra high quality ranked "real" wagyu with excellent service!! This place definitely has the best wagyu I've had in Sydney and the wagyu sushi is even more melt in your mouth than the tuna and salmon belly sushi! We normally get their wagyu bento delivery which is just as mouthwatering! Strongly recommended to other foodies and wagyu lovers!!

One of our favourite places to go when we are craving Japanese BBQ. Gotta try the marbled wagyu beef. We came here on my birthday and were seated in a cozy booth. The service was great and the staff were attentive. Finish off the meal with a selection of desserts.

Excellent place for Yakiniku if your budget allows. They have a good selection of Bordeaux wines as well.

One of the best Japanese BBQ in Sydney. Top notch quality wagyu beef. Excellent service and cozy setup. They have BBQ table with built in rangehood so we talk out without any smoky smell!
