What a fantastic experience. Excellent staff, well maintained boat, stunning scenery to explore and enjoy. We hired a kayak and mask/snorkel, which made our time on the island extra fun. The food was simple but delicious and served hot. Highly recommend!!!

What a fantastic half day we had on the Woody Island Eco Tour
The tour commenced at 9am so our skipper the very friendly Tim immediately headed out to some of the small surrounding islands near Woody Island where we saw some less than energetic seals basking in the sun lying on the rocks and occasionally lifting there heads up to acknowledge these annoying intruders.
What a life these guys have sleeping swimming eating and sleeping again they are great but very lazy
All types of birds were seen flying around the islands and over us just rounding up food.
Then we pulled up at the jetty at Woody Island and up to the cafe for morning tea and instructions before the tour etc started
Then the walking tour took place lead by the most energetic and passionate Indy
We saw all types of flora and fauna and learnt so much about this beautiful island and its inhabitants and its surrounds.
The tour was very interesting and informative well done Indy and Tim you guys a just great
We then headed back to the cafe and had a well earned lunch and indulged in a long chat about the island the tour and the z islands history
Well done to the staff for making our day a fun and very enjoyable one
Would highly recommend this tour it was great and the staff were delightful

One of the most unique island locations off the WA coast. Has a lot to offer. Flora and Fauna all around. Great walks through Coastal Moort thickets and Sheaoks. Great snorkeling under the jetty with many different species present in crystal clear waters. Quite spectacular. You can rough it in your own tent or live it up in one of theirs. Just don't take your good shoes. Black dust everywhere.

Woody Island was amazing and the crew from woody Island eco tours were great. Really enjoyed our trip out got to see the white bellied sea Eagles and seal lions lazing on the rocks. Woody Island should be a must do when travelling through Esperance.

I recently had an amazing experience with Woody Island Eco Tours. The tour was well-planned, informative, and environmentally conscious. We enjoyed a scenic boat ride to Woody Island, where we embarked on a leisurely hike through untouched wilderness. The knowledgeable guide shared fascinating information about the native flora, fauna, and the island's history. Additionally, Woody Island Eco Tours offers fantastic kayaking opportunities and a swim pontoon for a complete adventure. During the tour, we had the chance to explore the coastline and secluded beaches by kayaking, immersing ourselves in the beautiful marine environment. The friendly team out there are amazing and ensured we had the best time out there!

This was definitely one of the top 3 experiences I’ve had in life so far. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The ferry ride over to woody island was so peaceful and the guided bush walk once on the island was informative and the views were amazing. If the weather wasn’t as cold I would’ve been in the clear water in a heartbeat (would highly recommend snorkelling the water is gorgeous!!!!) you will never regret it! I will definitely be coming back and staying a few nights the next time I’m in Esperance as 3 hours on the island just wasn’t enough. Thankyou for such an enjoyable experience!

A very special place. Everything was excellent - scenery, staff, customer service, accommodation, shared facilities, views. Esperance is so fortunate to have such an effectively run attraction for tourists and locals. Highly recommend visiting.

Booked a Woody Island Eco Tour. On the way over we saw a pod of dolphins, some Cape Town Geese, a Sea Eagle (which took a thrown fish off the water) & some seals. Trip was not hurried and the boat was comfortable considering the ocean was a little rough. Morning tea was provided followed by a guided tour of the walking track. Staff (boat & Island) were very friendly. Would recommend tour. If we came here we would definitely consider staying a few nights in their accomodation. Information centre/bar is a magic place overlooking the jetty.

My partner and I spent two nights on woody island with our own tent, we loved it. The tour ride out was great; dolphins, sea lions, sea eagles followed by complimentary morning tea. The staff on the boat were very informative and friendly. The island was beautiful, we snorkeled multiple times a day even though it was cold, the jetty, rock caves and skinny dip bay were highlights for this. There’s more walks than on the map, you can ask staff for tips, we walked a lot. We loved the on-island staff! The Spanish couple were super friendly and helpful, we couldn’t thank them enough, and Murray had fantastic tips on what to see/do. Their tents looked nice enough and seemed like reasonable value, camp site is a bit exxy as they’re not big and some really aren’t level. Sites 8 and 9 were the best. The area is crying out for a wind break, the wind howled in from the open side and filled our tent with fine black dust. Installing some clothes lines would be fantastic too as there’s no where to hang your wet gear.

Woody Island is a hidden paradise. My visits have always exceeded my expectations with friendy professional staff and the most pucturest scenery with clear waters and beautiful wildlife. There's nothing quite like Woody Island.

Had a fabulous time. The boat ride itself was great as it’s not too far out that you get sick. Seeing Seals and Sea Lions in their natural environment was so beautiful! The food at the island was also a nice surprise, simple but really tasty! Highly recommend! Only feedback would be to take gummy shark off the menu - not ideal for an ‘Eco tour group’

Absolutely A-MAZING! The tour was incredible! The crew was incredible! An absolute must experience. Everyone so friendly and knowledgeable. Graham had so many stories and talked to everyone. All staff at the island were super friendly. We saw dolphins, sea lions, geese, gulls and sea Eagles on the way out. The island is absolutely stunning! We swam at Skinny Dip Bay but Shearwater Bay would have been beautiful snorkelling if we had time. There is a guide walk but we did our own thing. Can't recommend this tour enough and such an amazing company. Thanks to the team

I absolutely loved being able to sit at the front of the boat with my legs over the edge! I normally get sea sick but this cruise was fine. We got to see Australian sea lions, a NZ fur seal, a white bellied sea eagle, Cape Barren geese, resident birds of woody island and king and other skinks. Graham our guide has plenty of interesting stories and has worked and lived in Esperance for many decades so knows pretty much all there is to know. Only downside was that there were so many comb jellyfish in the water so snorkelling wasn’t as pleasant. You had to swipe them out of the way and it was a bit hard to see through them.

Weather wasn't on our side on our two day trip with Woody island eco tours, but still the beauty of the island took our breath away! The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and knew a lot about the island. We brought our own tent but you can book an accommodation suitable for your needs. They will take all your stuff on the ferry, unload at the island and deliver it to the camp-site to a sheltered spot for you! There was also a very informative walking tour and tea and coffee after a chilly ferry ride. The visitor centre has a small bar/cafe/restaurant and heaps of games available for rainy days! Fishing was epic and a good snorkel trail too, even though this time the weather had made the water murky. Can't wait for our next time on the island!
