I always love coming to this restaurant. I have never had a bad meal here. This time I had the prawns for entree and then Satay Chicken and steamed rice. Everything was delicious as always. The staff are amazing. They are always helpful and friendly. Very professional. The view can’t be beaten. An ideal location to eat and relax and watch as Sydney wanders by.

We had a great lunch here after waling the gardens nearby. The service was great with friendly staff, and the food was amazing. The pineapple fried rice was served in a pineapple which was an interesting and enjoyable touch. We sampled a number of delicious dumplings as well as the spring rolls. My curiosity jumped at trying their pepper and onion kangaroo, and it was beautifully prepared and tasted amazing. Definitely a win.

We went here for specific dishes: the kangaroo with chilli and onions and the crocodile with greens. We also ordered the scallops appetizer which was absolutely amazing.

As two patrons, we dined outside along Circular Quay with views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We came during a Sunday lunch without a booking and promptly found a table to sit. We ordered the honey prawn and kai lan for lunch with plain rice and we were both full after eating these.

The waiters were lovely and spoke politely in English and in Cantonese and were very attentive. Will be a returning customer.

Very friendly staff. Food quality was surprisingly decent. although we only ordered two dishes. Would be down to try other dishes in the future if I come back to the city.

A mind-bogglingly good experience at this restaurant. Everything we ordered was top tier proper Chinese food. A big plus if you can speak Cantonese so you can have a more authentic service experience but truly remarkable food. And of course you can’t forget your fortune cookie ;)

Authentic delicious Cantonese food. This restaurant has been around for ages & have always wanted to check it out when visiting the Opera House. Finally tried it the other night and was surprised at how delicious the food was. Of the old school variety of Chinese cuisine - everything was fresh & spot on in terms of taste. Serving portions were generous and service was prompt, friendly and professional. The wine menu was also pretty decent. 4 of us dined & the price point was also good. Dining outdoors whilst nice - can be annoying due to the birds. Definitely will be back & the perfect venue before an Opera House concert.

Common man Restuarant at the most amazing location facing HARBOUR BRIDGE. With the mesmerising ambiance you have chance to forget the food, which happens to be ONE OF THE BEST CHINESE food in the locality.

East has been a popular fixture on the Sydney Harbour dining scene for 20 years, close to the Opera House and offering a splendid view of the bridge. The food is consistently good. On this occasion, we especially savored the spicy eggplant supreme and the ginger shallot prawns, the latter cooked to crunchy perfection. The service is prompt and courtly. An altogether enjoyable evening.

What an amazing restaurant. We went there on Sunday for a family dinner with friends. It was divine. The food is phenomenal, the staff lovely/efficient and the location perfection. The lobster noodles is the best and the lemon chicken is the stuff of dreams. My sister sent me a text message saying she couldn't stop thinking about the chicken. We will be back. I am telling everyone about my new favourite restaurant. Yummo. Can't wait to go back.

Best pepper steak I've ever tasted. The Orange fish? with black bean sauce (on the side) was superb. Good service . We were there on a Tuesday night.

Location is brilliant. Perfect views of our wonderful Sydney Harbour. The service was faultless - extremely polite and vey helpful. The food was delicious and the options of flavours was vast. The rice is a little expensive if you are choosing Fried Rice options. Perfect for location if you have a show to watch at The Sydney Opera House as it was not far to walk.

My fav Cantonese food. Spent the day during the lunar year feasting on king prawns in szechuan sauce soup for entree and a mango sorbet ss dessert. Despite the rain the restaurant was packed with customers eager for a good feed.

Authentic Chinese restaurant at Circular Quay. Food is tasty and affordable. The lobster and squid dishes we ordered were very fresh. The chocolate and fortune cookies after the meal made the experience awesome.

Easy access to the Opera House in case you want to plan your trip around this marvellous sight.
