Weirs Butchers

We don’t often cook meat at home, but when we do, we get it from Weirs. It’s our favourite butcher in Perth. We don’t live very close to the shop but the quality is so good it’s worth travelling to Nedlands for!

I could not believe my good fortune when, after my original caterer called to say he would no longer cater for my birthday event, I was told about Weir's. At a much lower cost they gave me nearly twice the amount of top quality dishes, meat and non-meat. The variety of the entrées, and deliciousness of both mains, as well as dessert, were out of this world. Thank you, Weir's. It was truly memorable!

We were introduced to Weirs about a year ago and it has since become our go-to butcher. The quality of the meat is excellent and the range is great too – whether you want to cook up a storm yourself, or pickup one of their ready-to-go meals to put in the oven. In the colder months they do a delicious meatloaf. In addition, they are a family business who are very focussed on quality customer service.

Great selection of high quality produce and such friendly staff. I forgot to order my Weirs Christmas ham (which incidentally is the best ham you can get!) and they were so helpful and accommodating even offering to glaze a spare one for me on Christmas Eve an hour before the shop was due to close!

Mark and the boys at absolute legends! Nothing is a hassle, and they are really great with prepping meat so it's ready to go at home. They'll often dice up something for a stir-fry or curry or make sure the roast is exactly the size I need it, which is super convenient. I also love that everything is always super fresh and excellent quality. And they have literally everything, right down to bones for stocks. The deli section has any last minute bits you might need like gee or bbq rubs. Even after moving a couple suburbs away, I still do all of my shopping for the family at Wiers. Highly recommend!

I guarantee this is the best butcher shop in Australia. The meat is high quality at affordable prices and the staff actually care about their customers. Couldn’t recommend these guys enough.

I picked up my Turkey this morning and was shocked to see when I got home it was cooked!!! I checked the order form to see that is what I ordered, by mistake. I phone Weirs and they took back the cooked one and gave me a fresh one. All in Christmas Eve. What great service.

Weirs is under new management and it just gets better everyday. The quality is back at its best, the range of meat, ready-to-cook meals, pre-prepared options, and catering is inspiring. We love the new owners. They are great fun, friendly and know what they are talking about. This has all the benefits of a butcher of yesteryear with the range and quality beyond expectation. I never have any idea what I want to cook for dinner. LOVE LOVE LOVE WEIRS. Their pre-cooked curries are way better than I can cook - they do have an in-house chef, so I’m ok with this. Ready-to-cook meat and vegetarian options are fabulous and when I do cook from scratch... the quality of the meat is excellent.

Definitely in my top 3 pick for pies in WA. Beautiful rich gravy, tender meat and excellent pastry that holds up well. Nice work guys!

The pre-prepared meals are delicious, I've had a number of quiches and It's obvious that there is new management from the outward atmosphere and appearance of the shop. I nearly forgot about the Biltong they make, I was in heaven! 5 stars!
