What a gem to find! Located just a couple blocks from the Scarborough foreshore… Fortuna Chinese Restaurant is just amazingly good food.

The service is warm and friendly and compliments the traditional 90s style Chinese decor.

The serving portions are standard… but the quality and flavours of the dishes is where this place shines.

Every item we ordered was just delicious. Cannot compliment this place enough.

Visiting from Melbourne with so many Chinese Restaurants on offer… Fortuna is up there in the top eats and the fact that it’s in Scarborough makes it even more special!

Highly recommend getting in early for dinner… what we thought would be a quiet feed soon packed out fairly quickly.

We are visiting from interstate and were in the area when we felt like having a local Chinese meal. Not expecting much, we were blown away by the attention to detail of the decor and cleanliness, and impressed with the service and food. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food we ordered (hot and sour soup, salt and pepper tofu and seafood sizzling claypot) was fresh and delicious! We would highly recommend this place and definitely come back again.

Went there with a booking for 9 people, service was great with a good atmosphere. Ordered the sizzling fillet steak, mixed veg, sizzling japanese tofu, sweet and sour pork, salt and pepper squid as in photos.
Highlight was the Japanese tofu and salt and pepper squid. It was so good we had to order another set of each!
100% coming back for another great meal with friends.

Didn’t know if we should try this place!! 10/10 for taste and you can see they put thought and love into the food! Our new local Chinese yumm! Sweet and sour pork was our fav!

What a gem of a place, authentic ambience, great friendly staff and the food is to die for. Definitely worth the visit, oh and can't forget the fried ice cream.....

I got the garlic prawns and salt and pepper squid... oh. My. Goodness. It was so, so good I had to call them just to let them know how much I enjoyed my food.

Sensational food and service, with it being byo as well definitely a great place to catch up with mates for a feed and a tin.

except ( salt and pepper), but if you will ask for: soya sauce and chilli and this and that, service will bring everything, quick, quick!!! That's the point of service there! Do not forget that!
Sorry didn't check the toilets...can't tell anything about that issue...and one more thing... Water -it's free but , maybe think about Chinese tea to order( cheap and water doesn't smell fluor so much" ...after all. Let's think that: it's a part of this magic adventure in FORTUNA!! Dress like: from the time "love story" movie and take a time to get use to this atmosphere in Fortuna;-). I love it!!💔

Went there with my hubbie and 3 year old granddaughter the service was excellent kind and friendly staff the food was the best Chinese food I have had in a long time the honey chicken was the best I have ever had and the beef dish was delicious highly recommend this restaurant

I grew up in Scarborough, and every time we ordered a family meal it came from Fortuna. The food there is amazing, and every time I went there in person the decor and service was also amazing. They have a diverse menu, friendly staff, and a perfect location, right near the beach. I even have a set of chopsticks they gave me years ago in a place of pride in my apartment. If you're craving Chinese and you're near Scarborough, there's no better place than Fortuna.

I booked a table here for a birthday celebration with about 20 mates. The staff were really accommodating and the food was awesome. It's BYO with great service, really friendly and fun staff and such a great venue, love the authentic look and feel to the place. Thanks for having us guys!

Came here on Saturday night and it was booked out, ordered take away and the food we ordered arrived quicker than we thought considering how busy it was, but we noticed how happy the staff and customers were at the tables, love the decor and next time we'll make a booking and dine in as the food we gotnwas really nice, Xiexie guys, Zai jian ✌
