Better than all the rest in Sydney! No pressure, very comfortable and enjoyable ambience with great decor. We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing non-alcoholic matched tea set as we don't really drink that much alcohol. The staff were so friendly without the usual snobby attitude or pushing wine sales- they surprised us with an extra complimentary dessert for our anniversary. The food is original and tasty, and the price was also very reasonable given the high quality of plates. Very sorry to hear they are moving. Definitely recommend Sepia!!

Sepia delivers food with intriguing combinations of bold flavours, temperatures and textures. Service was very polite and unobtrusive, and the room surprisingly muted considering it was a full house (or close to full). The tasting menu will take some time to get through, so don't expect to eat and run. It's always amusing to see diners get lost on their way to the bathrooms (a downside to the restaurant). Be prepared to pay for the quality of the food and the service.

Went here to celebrate mothers day. Every course was amazing, delicious and inventive. If given the chance to take the comte, definitely worth it. I went with the matching teas, which is a nice option for non drinkers but at 85 dollars per person, was very expensive. However, it accentuated the food and the experience.

We got the tasting menu and the entire meal took about 3 hours. The food looked very interesting and had unique tastes. The service was great with the staff being very observant with how fast we ate, opening the door to go to the bathroom, and refilling our water before it was ever empty. However, the water was not free and was 10$ a bottle.

Excellent combination of culinary skills and ingredients, almost every dish is photogenic and has great flavors (especially wagyu and scampi dishes). Service and atmosphere is excellent (tho a little too dark for those who like to take photos of their food).
The only two down sides are that the price and they will be closed at the end of the year.

Let me start by first saying, the two Chef Hats awarded to this restaurant are no mistake. From the moment you enter, you are aware this is to be a special evening. The service, decor, lighting, temperature, volume, wine list, and especially the food are all nothing short of perfect. Every bite, every sip, all perfectly balanced and designed to amaze. On this particular evening, my birthday (26th May 17), we were treated to a ten course blind menu that left us beyond amazed. Not a flaw to be found, Exceptional.

Delicious food, immaculate presentation, expert staff, expert sommeliers, amazing dining experience that the price tag justifies, extremely high quality silver service. Absolutely fantastic.
Exorbitant price tag matches the exceptional quality of the food, service, presentation, etc. Recommended to try at least once, as this kind of dining is not long for this world.
Book well in advance, save up, and budget for about 4-6 hours for the degustation menu, depending on how many people you have.

Came here for a special occasion and was not disappointed. The service here is impeccable. Food here is innovative and they are always ready to change the tasting menu a little bit if you have allergies and can't eat certain food. The replacement was very substantial and equivalent. I enjoyed every dish from the amuse bouche till the end, inventive Japanese Australian fusion at its best. Sepia is one of the best restaurants I've been to and I plan to go again when Sepia moves to Melbourne.

I'm so glad I was fortunate enough to experience Sepia before it headed to Melbourne. The food was beautifully presented and the matching champagne was divine, and may I say Tashie was fantastic as was Sandra. Fabulous!

One of the most amazing dinners I had in sydney. We were lucky to be able to try their special dessert called the pearl which was awesome. The yuzushu was also really good.

Make sure to go before they move to Melbourne.

From the moment you walk in to be greeted by Vicky until the moment you leave it's just one fantastic dish followed by another. Every staff member is a credit to the business. Not a single thing to fault.
Shame to lose you guys to Melbourne.
Looking forward to my birthday dinner in July.

Food was absolutely delightful, waiter's suggestions of alcohols were also very good.
A very worthy visit considering they will be closing mid December to relocate to Melbourne.

If consuming alcohol at Sepia, I recommend the 1990 Chenin Blanc

Innovative. Exceptional dining experience. Not cheap, but definitely worth the price for a special occasion. Hurry, before they close their doors in December to move to Melbourne.

Although this was possibly the most expensive meal my friend and I have had in Sydney, it was worth every single cent. This is a serious restaurant with seriously amazing food matched by incredibly attentive staff. Every singe dish was just so incredibly delicate and sublime - I can't describe the loveliness of it all but believe me - it was wonderful! The wine list and cocktails certainly do justice to the food and I had the best Martini I think I've ever had...period!! Shame to be losing Sepia to Melbourne, but I guess it's a great excuse to travel down south more often!! Thank you to all the wait & bar staff as well as the talented chefs - perfect evening!!!
