The way they described and show case the stuffs, I felt like I lived in that house. Must visit place for Geraldton visitors. And most important segment is goosebumps moment. Found my mother tongue on those pretty foot steps. I didn’t expect that.

Amazing museum absolutely packed with everything you can imagine would be involved in daily life through the stages of history in this area. The home really lends itself to the museum setting and the layout of the museum is really fun and interactive with a piano and furniture were encouraged to play/open and look inside.

Personally I find a lot of museums interesting but a bit disconnected but the balance of well preserved pieces and informal layout of this place plus the beautiful building and amazing gardens really make you able to imagine living here through the years.

The gentleman caring for the place is lovely and helpful and obviously passionate about the place and the two little dogs who came to greet us on arrival we’re the cherry on top :)

Don’t leave without some honey and jam from the shop for your family :) this place needs all the support and love we can give it to keep it going for the community and future lucky visitors!

Great collection of antique furniture and items from the 1800s! Very well furnished and organised house and garden to take a step back in time to the 1800s

A very well-kept museum with many aspects of early settler houses showcased; from the bedroom to the kitchen to the cellar. Allocate some time to spend at the museum, can easily spend an hour there!

Great local history museum where you can touch and investigate many of the pieces that tell stories in fun and engaging ways. Well curated, very well cared for. The gardens are also a treat, with wonderful afternoon light and lovely old tree to view.

Amazing highway stop on way to Geraldton. SO so much to look at it. Complete time capsule of WA history in fun, shady, beautiful & relaxed surroundings. Kids free to enter. Allowed to self guide/wander the buildings & gardens packed with artefacts & stories. The selfie dress ups have been a definite holiday highlight & memory at a place we only accidentally stumbled on.
Other similar nearby stops charged much more for much less. This place is truly not to be missed.

Fabulous piece of WA pioneering history and short drive (20 mins) south of Geraldton. All ages and types of individuals will be truly surprised and gobsmacked by a visit here. $5 entry fee and all you can pick veggie garden plus an 800 year old tree to hug and Piano to play. Please respect this establishment because its an exceptional piece of the Maley family and Western Australia. ❤

Small gardens, but you can help yourself to mulberries. I bought some plants. Friendly staff and nice cafe. Very interesting history about the owner and his family and local area. You are invited to open drawers and cupboard to interact with the display.

A well presented, interesting museum. Have driven past many times but never called in. So glad we did today. Both museum and garden were excellent and the volunteer staff member informative and friendly.

The staff/volunteers were absolutely lovely to chat to, welcoming and knowledgeable of the exhibit and history of the area. The garden was beautiful with many unique and funky decorations and seating (all custom built). Overall, a beautiful glimpse into the recent and distant past of the area, perfect for history geeks and the botany-minded alike.
