Greenough river beach

The end of the river is not connected to the ocean and is blocked by the beach. Fish can be seen jumping out of the water along the river. There are unknown birds standing on wooden pillars beside the river.

The ocean had busted through the sandbank into the river when we visited today. This created a quick moving channel of water as the tide rushed in...and s bit more entertainment for us as the tide whisked us along.
The beach itself has some small waves and and easy walk out. Great for young kids mucking around on boogie boards, and even a couple of adults got up on their surf boards.
Through the channel, the water was just as pleasant but more calm.
The water was warm by my standards as it takes a fair bit more me to get my feet wet.
To get here, a very short 4wdrive along the beach - with tyres let down as there is some soft sand. We're not experienced 4wd so definitely wouldn't have tried without deflating tyre pressure.
A beautiful beach with a bit of everything to suit everyone.

It's always the best. . Dogs can run freely., some dolphins sightings sometimes, for the whole family not just for surfers

Sheltered river, sandbar between it and the ocean. Good for offroad vehicles, sand is usually firm. Good fishing.
