Spectacular area. Landscape colouring changing in the layering of the granites. Well worth a visit to drive or walk around.

Not what I expected (had a picture in my mind of Stonehenge with Granite, not sure why?) when we turned off the road and stumbled across what Google refers to as Escarpments of Granite but a beautiful landscape greeted us. Don't stop at the first thing you see but drive around using the sandy and rocky tracks amongst the escarpments to get a true picture of these natural wonders.
Lots of great places along the way to stop for a snack, a picnic or a BBQ (byo BBQ) with a beautiful background.
It could do with some more signage and/or information but it looks like that could be coming.

Scenic day use area 7 km north of Mt Magnet. No camping allowed.
Weathered granite outcrops with striking Aboriginal statue near entrance.
Not much in the way of facilities so you'll need to be self-sufficient.

Nice spot! So happy we popped in on our way past. Very close to the road. Easy driving. We were there at sunset and the colors were gorgeous. So interesting with all the shapes, like natural sculptires. Very beautiful from an artist's perspective. Dont miss it!!

Very good place if you like gazing at the stars. It is always a good idea to stop by here and embrace nature.
Make sure you have all the gear/ food that you need. Not many things are on the way.
