Just wanted to give a big shout out to Nicole at Lara Smile Group. I just had my first clean in a number of years (thanks COVID) and Nicole was brilliant. Didnt judge, explained everything, told me what I was doing well and provided great advice on what I can do better to maintain my dental hygiene. Best Oral Therapist I have ever seen. I also saw Dr Will for a couple of fillings who also has a great manner with his patients. He put me at ease and got the job done as smoothly as possible given I had already had a clean and my jaw was getting tired. Wonderful to have such great clinicians in our local community.

I took my young son for his very first dental visit today at Smile. We had Nicole who was amazing. Her totally relaxed approach put him at ease. She explained everything every step of the way, including how the chair moved, each piece of equipment she was going to use and what was going to happen next. Because of this he had no unexpected surprises so was happy to partake.

It is with much fervor that I confidently sing the praises of being under the guidance and care of Dr Charlie Kahwagi . Being transparent, I am not the most mellow, stress-free client in the dental chair, to put it mildly. Over the 20 odd years that I have been a client, Charlie and his team have always, each and every time treated me with outstanding patience (of which they have needed much of to deal with me). More importantly for some, this has been accompanied with superior dental work.

Charlie is a calming force, and does my injections in stealth mode so that I am blissfully unaware said needle has pierced my gum. He reassures me when most would want to throttle me, and assuages my fear with his good natured approach. His squidgee hippo in my hand does not have great experiences with me. In fact, he has gone missing of late??

I trust Charlie implicitly with my dental health. He is driven to provide advice from a helpful and caring approach, not from a fiscal one. Charlie can have a mild laugh even though it is my opinion that he barracks for the wrong footy team. I like that he explains the WHY as to why he recommends a course of action. Yet he also understands that I get queasy with too much photography/x-ray visuals of the tooth and gum party going on in my mouth.

It would be completely remiss of me not to give equal praise to Charlie's choice of other staff (hygienist and dental colleagues AND reception staff). I am yet to meet a single staff member in 2 decades that doesn't exemplify exceptional customer service, a warm interaction and the facilitation of trust that I will, as you will be when you work with him, have an excellent experience.

Tracey, although sadly for me, has left for a re-entry to another vocation, was simply marvelous as front desk angel and all-round organiser! I wish her well.

For about the first, hmmm, 10-15 years, when I had to make an appointment I was horrendously naughty due to my fears, that I would cancel twice as a minimum, possible 3 times before turning up. Clearly they figured that out and never once actually chastised me. (I am not suggesting that you do that I might add)!!! The fact that I don't do that anymore is a direct reflection of the confidence I now have. I 100% have LESS fear. I am not fearless. But Charlie has organically cultivated a feeling of trust.

I should have sung Lara Smile's praises a long time ago. It jumped in my head this evening that I should write a google review, and here I am. Nope, Charlie, nor a staff member did not bribe me for this review (I am attempting to be funny here).
Seriously. I cannot say enough. Make your appointment with full certainty that you will have an incomparable dental encounter.

I have been seeking dental/orthodontic services here for a few months now. I have ASD and ADHD, so find dental work really anxiety provoking and sensorily overwhelming.

Everyone here is so bloody person-centred, warm, friendly, humanistic and really care about including their patients in the process. They listen deeply and adapt to each person’s needs.

My attendance at dentists was sporadic at best before coming here, and now I’ve been able to build to going on my own, which is a huge deal. I’ve engaging in orthodontic work I should’ve had done as an adolescent and have had my teeth whitened, scans updated and hygiene appointments completed.

I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s a real community vibe. They remember who I am and take the time to chat with me. They also have an outstanding plant collection and the design of the building interior is very aesthetically pleasing too.

Even if I’m having a bad day, I still feel safe to come here. I just love this place and these people. They make me feel like a human and not a burden. I actually enjoy my appointments. Thank you all so much, you have no idea how much you have done for me.

I came in as my wisdom teeth were hurting. Turns out, I needed all 4 out and I had an infection.
They gave me antibiotics and booked me in to get them removed.
I chose to get them out in a month's time.
However, a couple of days go by and I couldn't bare the pain, I called up and spoke to the lovely receptionist Tracy.
She has such a Calming manner about her.
And I was lucky enough to get an appointment the next day.
I got all 4 taken out in the chair, and I had the beautiful Lynn and Mel.
Who I saw on my first visit.
The whole way through, they explained to me what ws going on, checked on me every couple of minutes, put music on(as I forgot my head phones) and it was my first time getting any teeth removed.
Lynn is so genuine and caring and really knows her stuff.
Mel is amazing, yes I may be biased as she's my friend. However, she was very professional throughout the whole time.
I feel lucky to have gone to such professionals, and kind, caring people.
Lynn and Mel are both professional at what they do, but can also have a good laugh.
You can see their passion in what they do, this also applies to the amazing receptionists.

I have had a great experience with Lara Smile Group, Nicole was able to put an end to some gum pain that I have been experiencing and was able to do a very deep clean. Nicole and all of the other staff (other dentists, nurses and front desk) are all so kind and helpful. Will be back again!

I have been suffering with Migraines and headaches and desperate for answers or a means to manage them. After reading positive reviews of their holistic approach, and curious if my jaw could be the culprit, I was excited to begin my journey of getting braces in my 30s.
The team are always positive, I can't help but look forward to my appointments there.
I felt as though the whole team held my hand throughout the whole process. I found the team to be very accommodating of my Connective Tissue Disorder (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) and ensured we took our time during the whole process. They adore my Assistance Dog and always welcoming when I need to bring her in with me.
Although my headaches and migraines unfortunately have not gone away, I am now positive my jaw is not the culprit.
My TMJ and my bite has improved tremendously, reducing subluxations, fatigue and pain in that area; and we can't forget to add the amazing smile I now have! I began this journey with the priority of function over form, but Lara Smile Group exceeded my expectations by accomplishing the functionality and the amazing smile I now have!
My only regret is not discovering Lara Smile Group sooner.

I have known Dr Charlie for many years and am one of his past orthodontic students. I myself am a dentist and have now entrusted Charlie with my own orthodontic treatment. My treatment is complex but knowing Dr Charlie has a huge wealth of knowledge and experience in orthodontics, I naturally chose him to do it. The staff at Lara Smile group are always extremely friendly and welcoming too. Great clinic.

My family have been coming here for the past 12 months. Today I had another clean done with Nicole and she is fantastic, actually all the staff are ! Even my daughter had a filling the other week and the story that went along for a child was fantastic she didn’t flinch and still talks about sleepy juice and how she didn’t feel a thing 😀 Thanks for being just down to earth people and doing an amazing job.
