Carriage of Occasion

We had the most amazing experience taking our daughter out for some 1:1 time with shaye and the horses, from getting them from their paddock, brushing, harnessing, attaching a carriage and heading out for a lovely quiet tour of some countryside. Our daughter was able to take the reins and control of the carriage (under direct supervision of course) then back to the start where we were able to see the horse enjoying a good itch against each other after unharnessing them which was just so gorgeous and wonderful to see. Shaye is just so incredibly warm, welcoming and full of great knowledge, knows much about the area and explains everything as we go along. The horses, so well behaved and trained. One magical experience that everyone of all ages and abilities can experience and should!!! 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'd give Shaye 10 stars if I could. We used her and the Victorian carriage pulled by Angus for our wedding and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect service from her. She is very professional and courteous. The guests were wowed when she came through the forest towards the ceremony.
It certainly made our day the most magical day we could have ever imagined.

My husband and I booked carriage of occasion to take us away from our wedding ceremony in a horse and cart. We ended up with wet weather and rain but Shaye was incredible in giving us different options and checking-in beforehand. We ended up being able to swap to a carriage with a roof for no additional cost and our journey in the rain was SO romantic. Angus (the Clydesdale) was so well behaved and took us on the perfect journey. Could not have asked for a better exit on our special day, highly recommend for all you horse lovers.

Highly recommend Carriage of Occassion. Shaye is absolutely wonderful and her horses are clearly well loves and cared for. Shaye is accommodating and caring and ensures you have a wonderful experience no matter what option you book. We loved our long lunch so much we have booked another tour to bring the kids. The carriage is extremely safe and comfortable whilst the horses clearly well trained and unflappable. The horses are friendly and love big cuddles. Can’t wait for our next experience with Carriage of Occassion.

If I could give a 1000000 star review I would. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING experience today words litrally can't explain how amazing it was. We got to groom, harness, pat and lead these horses. Shaye is exceptionally professional and understanding in taking care of her horses and taking care of her customers. I'm so grateful and could not rave enough about what an excellent job she did with Henry and Angus pulling our wedding cart! 1000/10, would do it all again in a heartbeat! :D

We absolutely loved our horse drawn wine tour to celebrate my birthday. We had a larger group, but that was no problem and we were able to go in two carriages. The carriages and horses were so beautiful and expertly driven by Shaye and Russell. Shaye organised everything so the day ran flawlessly and the wineries were fantastic. We even got to feed the horses a carrot which I loved.

It was a perfect day exploring the Langhorne Creek area, which I had never been to before despite living in Adelaide most of my life. Would definitely like to go back, although it won't be the same without the horses!

Carriage of Occasion are nothing but perfection. The pride they take in they're work is exceptional. You can see that they also treat their horses with the upmost respect and care.

We did a learn to do harness lesson was awesome highly recommend to any one wanting to give harness a go! So much fun and informative ♡

Shaye's attention to detail and standard of care for her horse team are second to none! Her passion for her business is obvious and the scope of the services offered is huge from weddings to funerals, winery and ghost tours and bear hunts for the kids. Highly recommended for any occasion!

Absolutely professional and gorgeous people and horses. Love what Shaye does and the different services she offers. Not only does she do carriage rides and weddings, but she also offers people the chance to spend the day learning about her horses, what the job involves and getting hands on with the horses.

Enjoyed a lovely carriage ride seeing the sights and learning the history of beautiful Strathalbyn. Shaye is knowledgeable and passionate and an excellent horsewoman. The horses were well educated, trustworthy and beautifully presented, and the carriage was stunning. Perfect way to spend an afternoon, highly recommended!

I was lucky enough to experience a behind the scenes/no frills package.
I was able to help get these beautiful horses ready to take out for a drive and even got to drive them myself for a little while. Shaye was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and I would recommend her business to anyone that loves horses (& even those that don’t).

If I could have wished for a magical birthday surprise outing arranged by friends, it would be Carriage of Occasion with Shaye & her beautiful, sweet steeds every time.

I recently had the pleasure of boarding the 'Party Bus' at the Heavy Horse Festival, where the Clydesdales Henry and Angus stole the show. Shaye, the owner, was both lovely and informative, providing a professional and memorable experience. Highly recommended!

I think Carriage of Occasion is the premium carriage business in the state! They have the largest collection of carriages to choose from and Shaye takes such good care of her horses. You can see how much they are loved and cared for. Shaye will do everything she can to accommodate her clients and meet their needs where possible. If it's not possible, than it's likely due to the safety of the horses or the humans around them. I can't recommend Carriage of Occasion enough. I've enjoyed a hands-on experience, a beach ride, as well as having Shaye drive my friends and I around town feeling like royalty. Gather your friends together and enjoy the services and experiences offered by Carriage of Occasion - you don't know what you're missing!
