Hunky Dory Fish & Chips Port Melbourne

The food is really good and fresh. Plus the staff are friendly and welcoming customers at any time. I had grilled flake with chips amd salad and it was delicious. It was not expensive and I’m glad that I tired them. I’d highly recommend the Hunky Dory if you’re keen to try seafood around port Melbourne.

Fresh seafood at reasonable price point. A basic standard fish n chips is only $11! Generous portion served with thickly cut chips or rice. I loved the grilled calamari, they were super tender and tasty!

There is a reason why it is always busy all year long. It set such high standard for fish and chips in the area! Always serving fresh and quality food, with the right amount of batter!

Wow!! Amazing place. I wish there was an Hunky Dory in Darwin. Nice large portion size. The family loves fish n chips. Everything tasted sooo delicious. Was very happy with what we got. Very popular place. We'll visit again.

Had the Salmon skewer pack on the very first day of launch and it tasted heavenly, going to be my go to meal at Hunky Dory🫶🏻.

Fish and chips is the best and also big plate. I also recommend hot jam donut as well. It's very good and soft.

Cheese burger was superb!!! Definitely recommend getting it along with the fries!

Fries were amazing, they were crunchy soft and crispy ! Beef patty was amazingly seasoned for the burger.

We had the “flake fish” which we think is shark meat - whatever it was it was delicious. Great portion size - super crispy fries (chip). Great atmosphere for street side dinning.

We were taken to Hunky Dory by our Melbourne friends who raved about the place. Well, they were right! The marinated grilled calamari was very good, their chips were crunchy, grilled flake was awesome, and skewered prawns were very tasty! They're also licensed, and the service is great. Came to hunky dory for dinner tonight & was served by two lovely waitresses Sibel & Polina. They made my dining experience amazing! I will be coming back to this restaurant and I would definitely recommend any/everyone about the port melbourne hunky dory location. Food was A1, Atmosphere was calm & relaxing, but to top it all off the service was immaculate.

I LOVE this place!! The seasoning on the fish is just divine and really packs a punch with flavour. The portions are a good size too. A great idea on a sunny day to come visit in pretty Port Melbourne. Can’t wait to come back.

Order flake and small chips for two. Was big portion size and reasonable pricing. Customer service was friendly and patient despite how busy it was. Food was fresh and tasty.

The staff were all very friendly and looked after our needs very well. The food were good potions and reasonably priced. We ordered the Bay fish, Grilled Pack and The Old School pack and were happy with the food. Oh yes, we also enjoyed their sweet potato wedges.

Loved this place! Very friendly service. And most Importantly the food was amazing! Great to have a very good alternative for good old "fish n chips" as we can have "fish rice salad & special sauce!" To make it even better the rice served was surprisingly whole grain rice cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious! Also generous portion, keeps you happy for the whole day! Will definitely return!

The Team including Oggy, Georgia, Matt and Eva are superstars, always greeting me with a smile and with excellent attitudes even when super busy. Fish is delicious. French fries are yellow in color but very good. Corona beer with Lemmon finished off the meal- perfectly. Australia doesn’t have limes.
