I’ve been going to the store since it opened in South Melbourne - they have all the Canon models to try out in store before you buy and staff there are really accommodating especially Rob who has been helpful since the start even when you start as a novice.
It’s also great if you can afford the extra dollars to have cps membership in case you have any issues with the camera and they even loan out cameras to try out before you buy. They really accomodate and are helpful and Colin from CPS has been really helpful if you have any problems in relation to your canon camera - there is no bias in the questions you ask or who you are. Service at Canon South Melbourne store and Colin from CPS has been great.

Was a challange to find original charger, they delivered it much quicker than Teds Camera would. Please note no cash accepted.

The store itself looks cool, the playground for photo enthusiasts. Makes me want to buy new camera or lens 😆

To me there is more to photography than equipment, knowledge and skill. The enjoyment of photography is a whole-body experience where the camera becomes an extension of the creative experience, where the photographer connects with the subject in an exchange of energy which imparts an aura to the photograph that envelopes the viewer, capturing not only time but atmosphere. For me the whole camera experience is intrinsic to this, and Gemma at the Canon Experience Store has enhanced my journey at the base level with her expert knowledge and generous accurate advice. She recommended exactly the right state-of-the-art Canon products with absolutely no pressure, matched market price, informed me of promotional savings, was consistently prompt to return communications, and my package arrived with thoughtful surprises. Gemma, Rob & the other Rob have been great!
Mish in service has also been a great help with items that have needed attention and very informative. You most certainly don't feel like a number here at the Canon experience store. Very helpful & insightful staff.

I’ve had some issues with my camera lately and it had to be assessed and repaired. I found the staff very friendly & helpful and easy to communicate with. They were always prompt to respond when I made enquiries and very reassuring. The repair was done efficiently and in a timely manner.
The store itself is amazing, very spacious & welcoming. There are plenty of camera bodies and lenses and other accessories for potential customers to try out which is a great initiative. Overall I’ve had a great experience & looking forward to checking out all the upcoming gear!

Awesome place, great concept. I love the "Hands-on" way that you get to try the equipment and with the assistance of people who know what they are talking about. I took my broken Canon in and I was given a base repair cost. Then it was assessed and I was advised that no spares were no longer available. So I was offered a fantastic price for the new equivalent replacement. I am impressed. Not only are Canon great cameras but this store is great to visit. And you can get fine art printing done as well as hiring of gear. Then check out the gallery upstairs. Worth the trip.

Took a camera in today with a broken filter that I could not remove. The guys there were so helpful. They fixed the filter, explained what to do if it happened again and there was no charge. Excellent customer service.

A fantastic place to try out the latest Canon gear and get expert advice before purchasing. The staff were wonderful and kind, with the expertise to help me choose the right gear for my needs. I didn't feel any pressure to buy anything in a rush. In the end, I knew that I was paying marginally more for the camera I wanted, compared to what the big tech chains were advertising, but I did it anyway just because the staff and service were so amazing. My new 90D has also been fantastic for wildlife photography so far. Canon has really looked after me throughout my photography journey so far, and the Canon Experience Store certainly did not disappoint!

Living in regional Victoria and because of Covid lockdowns, I have never been able to visit the Canon Experience Store in person. However after being recommended the store by a friend I have experienced outstanding service via email. Gemma is always super helpful, no question is too hard (or trivial) to answer, and pricing is super competitive. I am really looking forward to visiting in person one day! Highly, highly recommend!

I have some experience with the Canon experience centre, and it has all been outstanding. I fronted up one day to get a handle on how to use AI Servo, and I was given plenty of time to "get it". The staff member was knowledgeable and helped me greatly. I have phoned on two separate occasions to solve a problem but did not have the hour to drive there, but my problem was solved quickly and accurately. Today again, I called as I was seeing long write times to my fast cards and after listening to my description of the problem, Rob, suggested that I clear all of my camera settings and start again. Great advice, the camera's write times have dropped from 3 secs to around half a second. If ever there was a strategy to secure the customer base then this would be it. With every staff member I contacted I was impressed by their commitment to a great outcome for me. This is how to create brand loyalty.

Visited the store recently with a problem with an old 100-400 lens. After listening to my story and a visit to the help desk, it was found that the problem was a faulty protective filter making the images not-sharp. I took the lens out for a trial today and it works like magic.I can't thank the service staff enough, it cost me nothing, there was no pressure to buy, and some genuine interest in my issue. I highly recommend your service. I have visited several times now and found the staff helpful, passionate about their craft and will offer great deals. Thank you

After being on the fence about a new upgrade. i decided to bite the bullet and go for it. a quick email to Gemma at the cannon experience store, she replied promptly with a quote for exactly what i needed and wanted. Was such an easy and simple process. and less than 24 hours later i have my new gear in hand. I will only from now deal with the amazing staff here.

My wife and I recently purchased a camera from the Canon Experience Store. Gemma was incredibly helpful and informative and also spent time with us at a later date to provide additional training on getting the most out of our camera. We are incredibly happy with our camera and the service.

The staff were amazing, super helpful and knowledgable. Prices were cheaper than in major stores and the ability to try out different cameras and lenses and to be able to ask all questions before deciding what to get was awesome. Best customer service I've seen in a long time.

If there were more stars available, I would award them. Totally awesome service from Gemma. She was able to provide all the help I needed and offer a great deal at a time when we are in lockdown, and still be able to get the camera and lens to me interstate within 24 hours! I wasn't able to get there in person to "experience" this store, but dealing with Gemma by email was the next best thing. Way better than dealing with my usual retailers. Brilliant!

I've only recently become aware that the store existed, but wish I'd heard of it earlier. Gemma provided outstanding customer service over multiple visits, phone calls and emails and I couldn't be happier. One example of many: it started bucketing rain when I picked up a new camera and I didn't have an umbrella, so Gemma suggested that she help set it up while I waited for the storm to clear. A great place to play with all of Canon's latest gear while getting expert advice from people who REALLY know Canon. Coming from a slightly ragged professional photographer this review is high praise indeed.
