Refresh Renovations Melbourne - Andre Jeffery

After hearing many renovation horror stories we decided to engage the services of refresh to convert our double garage into a unit for my parent.

Andre and his team completed an amazing space complete with a kitchen, bathroom, lounge and bedroom.

Plenty of storage and enough space to live comfortably.

Andre and Connie made the project seamless as they continually updated us on the renovation process, timeframes and scheduling.

All the trades that refresh work with were very polite and respectful at all times. The property was always kept clean throughout the whole process.

I highly recommend Andre and his team and wouldn’t hesitate to use them for future projects that we wish to undertake.

Andre (Refresh Renovations) and the builder did a great job renovating our home. The job involved creating an upstairs area by adding 2 extra bedrooms, as well as removing interior walls to open up the existing space and creating a new kitchen. They were very professional. Andre worked closely with us to ensure the new work would meet our expectations & needs.

Andre is dedicated, creative, highly engaged and extremely positive to work with. He had some great ideas for our building project. He is also very reliable and has excellent contacts within the building profession.

Whilst our project eventually went to another contractor (only because Andre focuses on renovations, whereas our project ultimately became new build), we would have no hesitation in using Andre for any future work.

We worked with Andre and Connie for several months to overhaul our tired home, with multiple updates needed including kitchen refit, bathroom, lighting, bi fold doors, windows and fixtures and interior and exterior painting.
Andre and Connie were such a pleasure to deal with: professional, friendly, authentic and trust worthy. Without their practical and realistic assessments of what was and wasn’t “do-able”, we would not have progressed with the extent of the renovations. At all times we felt comfortable with their advice, there was no hard sell or pressure to increase the extent of the renovations, and when there were the inevitable delays we were kept informed. They followed up to ensure the quality of the various trades met expectations, they were in regular contact, and each and every cost was carefully explained particularly the variations to the original contract.
We were so pleased with the quality of the renovations and how Andre and Connie project managed the various trades that we extended the scale and scope of the work.
Our experience was the complete opposite of other reviewers. Thank you again Andre and Connie for your friendly professionalism, we are so happy with the renovations and hope to be back at a later stage for a quote for the bathroom.

We employed Andre to build a Garage and Decking (the Garage had complication due to the Land Sloping)

At the start there were some small problem, but as the Job progressed Andre and his Team were total Professionals in ALL ways and very Good to work with.

As Covid caused many many problems for Andre and his Team, but they worked tirelessly to get the project completed (thanks).

We cannot recommend Andre (and his Team) highly enough, and are thankful for all that they did for us.

Our bathroom was unusable when we bought the house, so we decided to completely gut it and start from scratch. Refresh were an amazing team from start to finish. The whole project was completed to a high quality. The excellent communication through every stage of the project made it less stressful for us knowing we were being looked after. I would highly recommend Refresh to anyone wanting to renovate their home.

Apart from starting to finishing times a little longer than first anticipated an excellent job was completed by Andre, Connie and their team. Communication was great! Thank you. Very happy customers!

Talked and promised a lot. Paid for the initial concept and feasibility early June 2022 after discussion and confirm that project was doable and would be finished by end of 2022 ...

After payment and despite repeatedly calling, no answer at all. until I reach a boiling point. called office to reach someone else, asked to be called back, finally after two weeks i was called back we set something up for Andre to visit. visit for nothing as designer was not here. reschedule another visit. finally got a plan in November!!! with a nice email asking for feedback and dscussing everything. we are now in May 2023 and despite several attempt at contacting Andre, nothing!!!!

I was re-imbursed $1,000 for the original waiting. Which was a nice gesture however not followed up by actions.

Waste of $3k and 1 year!!!!!

Waste of money. Use Andre if you enjoy the stress and hassle of chasing him up every week for an update and to deliver on his promises.

Talked and promised our requirementa. Zero delivery. Paid for the initial concept and feasibility in August 2022 after discussion and confirm that project was doable and would be finished by end of March 2023. Few designs given to us of laundry only. (We are doing
full extension) . Requested that he made amendments to the design on multiple occasions but never delivered brief, despite his numerous promises that he would send through an updated design "next week". "Extra week. Tomorrow morning" never came.. sickness, covid and delays. All parties contracted to do work for refresh either came down with covid, didn't follow brief or supply or went broke...I personally checked and each time details given by refresh were false and pointed back to refresh as not doing what they told us they had. We accept now that we were being taken for a ride all along.

Absolute waste of 6months to be back at point 1 and now with costs escalating will be $1000's out of pocket. waste of money. Use them if you enjoy the stress and hassle of chasing him up every week for an update and to deliver on his promises.

Like other reviewer was aware of the struggles in the construction industry at the time, so also requested honestly and timelines. . CAPITAL F for fail . Just all BS. feel so ripped off and angry. intentionally over promised in order to keep me around.

Not responsive. Not delivering on paid work. Hard to get hold off. Avoid!
