Sundial Carpark

It's a car park! But the location is wonderful and the scenery is great. Good place to start a number of walks. Around the edge are some picnic tables and a bit beyond are great, clean drop toilets without a hint of smell.

Small carpark but a good starting point for taking a hike to the Pinnacle lookout. Don't forget to take some water & maybe a picnic for when you reach the lookout. Remember to take your rubbish with you.

Good car park with drop toilets and this is the start of Lake view walk, sundial peak and one of the tracks to the Pinnacle. This is the easiest way to walk to the Pinnacle. Short walk back on the road is mushroom rock which sits just off of the road.

Spacious enough car park with lots of shade. There are toilets close to the parking, which is quite useful since the lookout points are at quite long walking distances. Make sure you get your own water and visit washrooms before you come, since I don't really remember seeing any water source or toilets around. It is quite clean, well maintained and well kept!

Sundial carpark is one of the entry points to hike to the Grampians Pinnacle. It is 2.1km hike to the Pinnacle. This hike is a grade 3 for moderate climbers with few slippery spots on the way depending on the weather. Some of the most amazing views in the Grampians Highcountry on this track. There are approximately 15 car spots and couple of picnic tables.

Nice place to stop and have several hikes. Better to split for several days. See pictures of Sundial Peak.

We did the pinnacles from this carpark with a group. Not super easy for kids under 5 but can be done.

The car park is one of the access point's to pinnacle. It is s 2.1 kms treck one way, there are toilet in the car park.

Relatively small carpark but a great starting point for various hikes and lookouts. There are toilets and a few picnic tables. This is the carpark to hike the easier route to the Pinnacle, and also has a much easier 600m walk to a lookout over Halls Gap (although still not wheelchair/pram accessible).

The Grampians - a must visit national treasure. Sundial Carpark a great place to start your hike to a number of visually stimulating and photographic opportunities. The hike to the Pinnacles is challenging in places, but not difficult, and the views are breathtakingly beautiful.

For the 'easy' option to the pinnacle, start here. On a hot day this is still challenging and may not be suited to younger children.

2.1km walk from car park. Definately a must hike. Many young families do the pinnacle walk from Sundial Carpark. The path is reasonably challenging for some smaller kids. But overall its fun.

The shorter route towards the Pinnacle. If you're planning to go there with an easier route. This is the carpark to drive to. But Google maps has an error where they direct you to go through a road where there's no entry cos it's for traffic from the other direction. Go from Halls Gap and take a left turn from the police station.

Great starting point for numerous walks such as Lakeview Lookout, Sundial Peak, Lake Bellfield, Rosea Carpark and the easier track to the Pinnacle (the elevation change is much less from this point). It is also on the Grampians Peaks Trail. There are picnic tables and toilets.

Starting point of one of the easiest walks to The Pinnacles. The size of this parking spot is very small though, and most of the people end up parking on roadside.

Good spot for people like us who were carrying our 5 month old in a baby carrier thingo. The walks out to each of the look outs are not too demanding and relatively easy. There was young families doing these walks, not a bother to the kids or parents.
