Lakeview Lookout

Definitely a good alternative to Pinnacle if you don’t feel like doing the trail. Amazing views especially on a sunny summer day.

Great option for the older folks who are looking for an easier and shorter climb compared to the Pinnacle Lookout especially in 10 deg C weather. The rocks might be slippery so would need to be extra cautious when ascending and descending. There are some photo-worthy spots on the way to the lookout as well.

Love it! Beautiful area and can take great photos. Great fun for younger kids to explore too. Be careful on the rocks and near the edges.

About a 10 minute walk from the car park depending on how many spots you stop for photos on the way.

Not wheelchair accessible. Wouldn’t recommend taking a pram/stroller here either. There are some big steps and big rocks on the paths to get over and half of the path is sand.

No dogs.
No fires.
No littering.
No toilets at the viewpoint.
No seats or tables along the way.

For people with mobility issues, that still want a spectacular view, this short walk is ideal.

Start at Sundial carpark. Easy walk to this lovely lookout. A few rocky steps to go up so if you have crook knees like I do take a stick with you. It was cloudy when I went but the cloud cleared and still got to see lake Bellfield and Halls Gap. If you want to do the pinnacle from here this is the easiest way to do it. Only 50 metres back along the road is mushroom rock. Worth a look too. Drop toilets available in the carpark too.

Lookout Point Wall is superb. At least 10 mins fast walk from Sundial Car Park. 22m climbing/abseiling. Very dangerous along the edge - don’t let kids near the edge on their own. Recommend shoes with grip like trail running shoes, since it gets very rocky nearer the edge.. (April 2021)

Walk appears easy after the Wonderland Loop, low gradient with a couple of steps and rocks on the path. Massive layers of sandstone give delicate formations that do not seem possible.

An easy and short walk from the car park to the viewing platform. Ok for just about anyone. A very simple viewing area. Plenty of rocks around to just sit around and enjoy the view. Toilets available at the car park.

Worth the walk a little further along from the Pinnacle. Extend your walk into a loop to include this lookout

Easy walk, rewarded with great views of Lake Bellfield and Halls Gap. Try the loop walk for more fun.

8 minute walk from the parking. It's just a normal path with about 30 steps up, clear to follow, no idea what the reviews about hard trail, bush walking, find your own path, child safety etc are about.

Lovely viewpoint, a little less impressive than The Pinnacle / Boroka

Yep great views along the valley from lake to halls gap and beyond,track easy with a few rocky lumps and bumps no biggie

Lovely view after a longer hike. The rocks on the trail were a little tricky in spots but not too bad, plus the wonderful view.
