Well worth a visit to a (still working) lighthouse. Guides have great information to share, easy going and willing to chat - and the views are awesome (my camera pics don't do the views and information justice).
Entry price is more than fair.
Made me also appreciate the hardship our early settlers, ships crews and others went through compared with what we have today. Loved it the visit - and will probably do again as so much information to see and I was on a tight schedule.

Wonderful lighthouse in beautiful setting, although not as in a original condition as the nearby Cape Schank it is still an interesting visit. Great views from the top and a very knowledgeable guide who answered all questions. Would highly recommend, also being the lighthouse from around the twist is a bonus!

Beautiful part of the world, with magnificent ocean vistas.
There are now three easily accessible viewing platforms around the lighthouse, affording more stunning views of Eagle Rock, the small beaches directly below on one side and further extensive sights down the coast on the other.
A must do at Airey's Inlet.
Make sure to visit The Lighthouse Tea Rooms, only metres away, for a delicious array of savoury and sweet offerings.

Easy to access from the free lower car park by the inlet.
Extremely friendly and well informed guides who bring the lighthouse alive and breathtaking (literally if it is windy) at the top.

Firstly for anyone who enjoyed the TV show, Round the Twist, this is the place.
$10 entry fee per person to climb up to the top.
Various readings on the way up.
On top and outside is fairly narrow but manoeuvrable enough.
Well worth the visit for great viewing of the surrounding area.

Would recommend climbing up for just $10/person if you're ok with hights. U won't regret it. The view up there is absolutely superb. The staff are friendly and helpful and informative.

As we journey along the winding Great Ocean Road, our drone’s lens captures the majestic Split Point. Here, nature’s artistry carves an awe-inspiring coastline, where each rock and wave tells a tale of the sea. Perched on the edge of steep cliffs, the iconic Red Cap Lighthouse commands attention—not only as a beacon for sailors but as a symbol of this marine expanse.

The camera rises to reveal the full splendor of Split Point—the tumultuous ocean waves clash with the serene sands, showcasing nature’s dual personality. Circling the lighthouse, the drone captures its solitary figure against the backdrop, painting a stirring image.

Each frame is poetry, each second surges with emotion. Don’t hesitate to share this video; let’s uncover the mysteries and beauty of Split Point and the Red Cap Lighthouse together. On the Great Ocean Road, every step is a new discovery, every flight a new chapter.

If you are venturing down the Great Ocean Road you simply must stop and climb the Lighthouse. The views from the top are spectacular not to mention the lovely and knowledgeable staff that can chat to you about the history and even some tips to help the confidence of those who might be a little nervy with heights. Super nostalgic thinking about 'The Round the Twist' crew and the amazing show that it was to watch growing up, you wont be disappointed to walk the little way from the carpark to reach the Lighthouse. We were blessed with wonderful weather although there was a slight breeze it was nothing hair raising. Photo credit to the lovely staff member to snapped our family so we could all be in a photo together - Thank you.

It's so worth the climb up the spiral stairs. The views are breathtaking, I'd advise caution if u have fear of heights, but do it if you can.

Adorable place, you dont even have to go to the tour. Just sitting there and watch the view through the lookout is already absolutely gorgeous!

A small trek up to the Lighthouse and its definitely worth it. Climb to the top for $10 and take in 360 views. We didn't climb it as the half the top was closed to gale force winds, but others did.
U can also walk out to the various looking points as well.

It was the friendly and very knowledgable ladies (one stationed at the base of the light house and one at the top) who made this visit interesting and worthwhile. Besides, of course, the amazing views! Entry was very reasonably priced at $10 per person. There were 136 stairs to the top. We enjoyed learning about the history of the lighthouse.
There are some viewing platforms at the foot of the lighthouse, but the views are nowhere near as spectacular.
We turned off the Great Ocean Road onto Inlet Crescent and kept left around the lake. Then turned left onto Lighthouse Road and left again at the top where there was a large area for parking. The walk from the car park along Federal Street to the lighthouse is reasonably level. En route is the Lighthouse Tearoom.

A beautiful place to visit. Lighthouse is very impressive and if you wish to tour inside it costs $10. A cafe is nearby if you wish for a meal and coffee. Tracks from the lighthouse lead to very scenic rock and sea views. Good for a photo.
The carpark is a bit small though.

The lighthouse located at the cliff and you could spend an hour here watching the ocean.

Parkings are available but kinda limited.

This is a touristy place so it can be crowded.

Nice view over the lighthouse and the ocean.

There are some coffee house which offers fish and chips though over this place.

Stunning stop off point on the way towards the Twelve Apostles on the Great Ocean Road. This is still a working lighthouse. There is a tea room which offers beverages and a simple range of snacks. There are some nice easy tracks to explore the nearby clifftops with stunning views. There is plenty of nearby parking.

Beautiful place. We didn't do the tour but we had a look around on our own and it was well worth the detour. The views are amazing.

Have you ever, ever felt like this... haha. Cool historic light house. Still maintained exceptionally well post Round the Twist days. The views from the top are amazing. The ladies that run the show are super friendly and have some great info on the lighthouse. Definitely worth a visit.
