Outstanding pies

Good ol Rods bakery never fails to provide top quality pies and pastries.
if you haven't tried RODS BAKERY ,it's a must if you're passing through Lara or visiting. Good local bakery from local people.

This is the best bakery in Australia! I commenced working in Lara 5 weeks ago and EVERYDAY I get my lunch from here. Their pies are so delicious, the sandwiches are fresh and abundant (not stingey like other places) and their cakes, slices and other sweet treats are authentic and so tasty. The bread is fresh and legitimate. I wish they would open another store in Newtown. I can’t recommend them highly enough. It’s a 20 out of 10 from me!

And it is exactly the way it is described.

One of the best bakeries in the Geelong area, range and quality of food is superb. Highly recommended, even for a trip to Lara especially.

Popped in here for a sourdough loaf on the way to Geelong. A nice crusty loaf that slices perfectly for great toast.
Worth a drop in.

Come here every Sunday for a potato pie and a sausage roll. Girls at the counter are always really nice and very quick at what they do. Prices are a tad steep but comparatively speaking fair as well. My only gripe is there could be a better selection of drinks available, however with the lack of space they probably couldn’t fit another fridge out the front anyway.

The food tasted amazing and there was a wide range. Friendly service. Great shop!

The cakes the coffee and pies a very nice, they are always very busy with customers.

Discovered this place by just driving pass, and I'm glad I did. Everything is delicious and the coffee is great. Make the half-hour drive most weekends now with the little ones for lunch. And the staff are great 👍 👌

The food was so yumm i had a steak and mushroom pie .my mum had a pastie my nephew a pizza roll and all were so fresh and cooked perfectly id recommend this place to anyone looking for bakery goods in lara or close by

Great coffee! A very popular place for morning tea. A colleague of mine introduced me, so this could be dangerously good in the future!!

Rod's to the rescue! Great wraps that I ordered for catering (A last minute addition!) Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be back based on service alone, and the wraps were delicious and had plenty of tasty filling!

Delish food and excellent service. Enough staff, so not a long wait. The mocca rings and salad rolls are awesome. Grabbed some pies to share, and will go back over and over.

A good bakery with a wide range of food available and great pies and pasties available for sale. A popular bakery well worth visiting.

What can I say about rod's bakery? They have the best jam donuts and pastries I've ever eaten. The Shepard's pie is one of the best in the region. Even the chicken salad rolls are to die for. I really encourage going there and eating the whole menu.
