Flame Brothers Restaurant & Bar

Was a busy night especially for a random Tuesday in March so we were happy we booked. The staff were lovely even though they were busy, and the food came out quickly. We ate every last scrap it was delicious perfectly cooked bbq, done well, not trying to be fancy just delicious. Portions were good. We were very satisfied! Thanks Flame Brothers 🔥👍🏻

Beautiful location in Halls Gap. I thoroughly enjoyed the Brisket & sides. Staff were friendly and on a Sunday night was seated quickly without a booking. Looking forward to next time I’m in the area to try something else on the menu.

Eight of us had a great dinner experience here.
Everyone had different meals from tachos,brisket burgers, Mac and cheese and everyone was happy. The staff were great and even though the place was full of emergency workers due to the bushfires in the area the service was still great. A good variety of beers on tap plus loads of other drinks.
Will be back....

Truly a marvel hidden in the misty mountains.

This joint brings atmosphere and food together better than most. We came here 2 times over 4 nights and each time it got better. The Flame brothers provide excellent service in abundance and truly show up every time.

Their meats, wine selection and cocktails will genuinely bring a tear to the eye. I cannot comprehend how a restaurant in this remote of a location can provide such otherworldly service and truly city level food in a small country oasis.

The people feel like home, the food tastes like a small touch of God in his country. I couldn't recommend Flame Brothers enough.

we’ve been here twice now and it’s awesome - we literally wish we could eat here every day. staff is super lovely and service was very fast even during a summer peak. food is amazing, we always order way too much because everything looks so good. would highly recommend the chicken tenders and halloumi fries, and the carbonara was unexpectedly incredible. we will absolutely be back.

We went to Flame Brothers for dinner this evening. Steph who was looking after us was amazing. She was friendly, knowledgeable and allowed us to let our dog sit with us while we are. The only thing more you could ask for was good food and it was incredible. The fact they had so many gluten free dishes and they all tasted exactly as you thought they would. Thank you for a great night out.

Grabbed the sharing plate for two. I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the food. I've had dry pork way too many times but this place cooked it to perfection with really nice crackling on the skin too. The rest of the meats were all great too. I was so full after this I could barely finish my beer. Great food and good selection of drinks. Definitely not disappointed and the price for the share plate is just such a good deal.

We have tried a few of the breakfast restaurants in Halls Gap and this is by far the best. Definitely save time and head straight to Flame Brothers for the most delicious Eggs Benedict with pork belly and broccolini.

Delicious meals, generous portion size at a good price and super friendly staff.
We arrived late on a Monday night during a not so busy period of the year but still had to wait a little bit to get a table and this place is one of the few places that’s open until 9pm.

We got well looked after and enjoyed the time here.
2 items on the menu where sold out: the brisket and the lamb shanks. I guess they are the two highlights here so make sure that you arrive early so you get a chance to get some of that delicious stuff in ya.

I went here 2 nights in a row - and pretty much had the whole menu😂 I wouldn’t change a thing - everything was perfect. Meats were cooked perfectly, full of smoky flavour, and the accompanying sides & sauces complimented the meat so well. Can’t wait to come back on my next trip!!

When we go here we prefer to sit outside with the wildlife. Why sit in when you have beautiful views of the Grampians. The service by the girls was friendly and helpful. We had the Salmon and it was beautiful.

We had delicious breakfast here, tried the haloumi + Avocado toast and the Eggs Benedict accompanied by a caramel Cappuchino and a freshly pressed orange juice. It was honestly the best OJ I've ever had, so fresh and juicy!!
My partner loved his coffee and we both highly enjoyed our food. It gave us the necessary energy and happiness to start a day full of hiking and adventures. All the staff was super friendly and attentive as well, they all did a great job at keeping everyone happy. Be mindful that this place fills up super quickly especially for dinner, reservations are recommended if you don't wanna miss out on their delicious meals.

We come back to the restaurant after our great experience last year. We tried BBQ sharing platter, fries, mac & cheese, and nachos this time. Food is delicious as always (especially the BBQ platter and mac&cheese), and staff are friendly, calm and helpful despite they're running short of staff due to covid isolation. Great experience again! Thanks so much.

I love that this kind of food is taking off here now.

Flame Brothers did a great job of some American style BBQ meat.

We tried the brisket, the ribs and the sausage.
All were packed with flavor and all worked beautifully with their Buffalo Hot Sauce which you could drink by the bottle on its own...for me, that sauce was the highlight of the whole meal...but that’s not saying anything was bad, just a very high commendation on that sauce!

The brisket and the ribs were rich with amazing, smokey flavor, but both a little (that is a little) dry for my personal preference (which is only personal and I do not presume to be right or to suit everyone)...the sausage however, was the best sausage I have had in recent times!
It was juicy and full of amazing flavors.
Extra Buffalo hot sauce was used which added both moisture and significant flavor to these meats.

The service here was excellent!
Very friendly and attentive but nowhere near annoying...

Overall this was a highly recommended experience and I look forward returning soon to try their brisket burgers.

OK...so we went back for the brisket burger and chicken burger, and both were exceptional!
The brisket burger was beautiful, tender pieces of brisket with some perfect burnt ends for texture and flavor and the chicken was amazing.

Meat was beautiful and tender, you can really taste the smokey flavor. Great idea having the smoker out for customers to view the meat selection going in and out. Scenery was lovely and most importantly the staff was very friendly with great customer service.

Gotta thank my boss friend who recommended to visit this restaurant for their smoked meats. Managed to make a booking for lunch, but we didn't realise they only serve smoked meats after 5pm. Had burgers, and chillidogs instead - which was also delicious!

Very nice vibe here with a big smoker out back likely preparing meats for dinner service. We loved it so much we came back for dinner the next day.

We were not disappointed! Delicious smoked meats, we ordered the set for 2 with an extra ribs on the side... Absolutely satisfying and great value for $$.

Recommend to make a booking in advance as I overheard a local said they get busy and sometimes when it is too busy they don't even offer takeout options.

Excellent dinner and selection of craft beers. Highly recommend booking a table as it was a full house when we came on a Sunday night. We ordered the meat platter for 2 and was not disappointed. We got some pork ribs, chicken breast, sausages and various sides. Great family vibe and covid-19 protocols were well implemented.

We came to halls gap for a family holiday and ate at flame brothers on our last night. The staff were wonderful, accommodating and very friendly. Jarryd was an excellent server and easily helped me order and alter gluten free meals for my daughter and I. My husband said the smoked meat from his meal was the best he ever had. The bar girl Jackana offered friendly helpful service with wine recommendations and always served with a smile. She was also able to arrange a dairy free mil shake for my 8 year old.
Very impressed with the atmosphere and would definitely return for another meal the next time we holiday here.

Just the best experience as I arranged a week ago to meet friends from a distance in Halls Gap.
I was asked by them to pick a restaurant, so picked and booked here a week ago.
Despite not quite having everything ready due to menu changes, our booking was honoured. We had a great meal, great service and next time they are in Halls Gap, they will be back.
Flame Brothers went that extra mile that made our lunch memorable

On the first day we had the Sopressa & Sausage Pizza, Buffalo Cauliflower, Fried Chicken & Coleslaw.
Everything was good, especially the Cauliflower, it’s was a good surprise for us meat lovers as to how much we enjoyed it & the Fried Chicken was amazing & crunchy! Went well with the creamy coleslaw.
I would have enjoyed the pizza more if the corn wasn’t on it.

Second day we came back & tried the BBQ Meat Sharing Platter with added on Mac & Cheese. Everything was the bomb 💣💥
Probably the best BBQ platter we’ve had in Victoria.
The cornbread on the platter is the best cornbread we’ve had, so moist & flavourful 🤤

Service can be hit & miss when they are under the pump, but apart from that, they are a cool friendly bunch, with chefs who got some serious smoking & cheffing skills.

Location is great, with heaps of parking about a minutes walk away across the road.
In the evenings, you’ll be able to see some kangaroos hopping past the restaurant too.

Definitely one of the must try places in Halls Gap.
We’ll be back to dine here again next time we’re in town!
