Beautiful spot! Sensational views. Great Saturday afternoon adventure! Fantastic weather, perfect clear views. Lighthouse Pristine and well maintained. Was itching to get up the top, but closed for private tour.

Beautiful lookout including the “Round the Twist” lighthouse at the top of the cliff. There are a few walks you can do down to view points, some of which are gravel and some are not. I would not say it is easily accessible for a pram and definitely not suitable for a wheelchair. Parking is a few hundred meters away, as are toilets.

Do you remember watching Round the twist as a kid? This is the famous lighthouse from that tv show. Now the lighthouse is great, there is a fee to climb up, but the view of the beach here is what makes it worthwhile. Parking here is a nightmare so be prepared to circle around a fair few times.

The Split Point Lighthouse is a fun area to start your exploration of Aireys Inlet and surrounds. It's a funky whimsical lighthouse that was used in the tv show Around the Twist (Australian national treasure for sure 🤣). To this day it is still a fully functional lighthouse that ensures ships don't meet their doom upon the rocky shores in the region.

Once you've stared at the lighthouse in all it's glory there's a few close by lookouts to wander to so you can take in the stunning surrounds. The beauty of the natural land and seascapes is an absolute marvel. From here the world is your oyster - choose your own story and take your pick of the ton of branching pathways to search the natural ecosystem around you.

The town of Aireys Inlet is only a small one but it has everything you need and feels different from a lot of other seaside towns in the area. They have managed to keep it homely and relaxed and have managed to maintain the old world natural beauty. You won't find a strip mall or fast food or high rises but there is a bookstore, combined souvenir/lolly/old school rental movie store, fish and chips, a pub, a cafe and a grocery and liquor store. The great ocean road is a trip worth taking and this is a definite must stop (and stay) along the way.

Stop in to see the lighthouse and stay to enjoy the adventure!

P.s. A response to everyone bitching and moaning about the parking - I had zero issues, however can imagine it could be very busy on the warmer weekends. If you have a HUGE camper vehicle park down the road at the park and enjoy meandering up the track. I understand this won't work for everyone but this is a natural area by the cliffs with residences nearby, putting in a monstrous concrete car park would seriously ruin the area and destroy the natural beauty.

Great views, worth the walk from the carpark up a short but step path to the lighthouse.

This split point lighthouse is famous for the tv series Round the Twist and must see attraction. It is still working light house and if you need to see the inside of it make sure you visit there before 2pm. I missed it my both times here. The lookout is so amazing. You will see the eagle rock 🪨 on the middle of the sea. And the view is so mesmerizing. I really love visiting this place.

Split Point is the coastal vantage point where you can overlook the crystal-blue sea from a cliffside lookout. The lighthouse adds a unique charm to the beach below. The lookout isn't far from the asphalt road, but you'll still need to walk a short distance on a natural dirt path. So, wearing sneakers is advisable, and in the hot summer, don't forget to bring water and a sun hat because there's little shade here.

When I was a kid I was fond of watching Round the Twist. Never thought I will be able to witness the location. Sally explained us well about the place she is a nice lady. I am so happy.

Better than my expectation. Parking could be an issue during peak times but people usually don’t stay for long. Another option is to park one street before the parking area, saw some visitors did this.
The scenery was spectacular and instagrammable from any sides. Have to pay $10 to climb up the lighthouse but I think just the view from outside is great enough.
There’s a cafe near the lighthouse that also has toilet. Toilet is strictly for cafe visitor only.

The view from lookout was amazing and for us there was no need to buy 10 dollars tickets for visiting a lighthouse. It's good on its own! The nature is so beautiful and epic💚🌳🌊

A really spectacular look out along the Great Ocean Road, there's a beautiful lighthouse too. A short walk to the viewing areas, parking is very limited but you'll manage for sure.

The Eagle Rock.....

From the light house, its a little walk to reach to the view point of the eagle Rock. A good lookout.

Split Point Light House...

The Split Point Lighthouse is a must-see attraction and stands as a stunning sentinel on the Shipwreck Coast.

It is still a vital working lighthouse for vessels navigating the treacherous waters of Bass Strait and still operates every night by an automated system.

The lighthouse is open daily for tours, weather permitting but the tour operates from 10 am to 12.30 pm only. It gives 360 degree view though.

There is good number of parking facilities and have a Cafe nearby.

The location is Insta famous location.... ❤

Very nice look out, easy short walk to the viewing areas. Having wheelchair access.
Parking can be a bit limited but still ok.

Nice view of the ocean and the light house too.

Also have a nice restaurant/cafeteria for dine-in or just a take-away coffee/drinks.
