The best fish and chips in Victoria I’ve consistently had! Images are from 2 separate occasions, but in both, the fish is beautifully battered and fried, and both sides of chips and slaw are perfectly on point too. Great flavour to the slaw which adds that freshness and acidity to cut right through the heaviness of the deep fried goodness.
The grilled fish is good too but would definitely recommend battered since it’s light and crispy.
Self serve condiments including tomato sauce, chicken salt and regular salt are available also. They also serve drinks and fancy icy poles. Seats are few and far between so often have to get takeaway and eat it along the beach which I’m definitely not complaining about anyway.

Best battered fish I've had. Worth every bit of the $16 it costs.
The fish felt more like japanese tempura rather than usual fish and chips. Superb crispy batter on the outside wrapping the softest flakes of fish on the inside.
Must try if you're traveling down the great ocean road!

The potato cake, again reminded me of tempura. Was expecting mash potato on the inside with flour, but was pleasantly surprised that it was just a thick slice of potato wrapped in batter.
Great accompanying salad.
Crumped calamari was just ok.

Without doubt the best fish and chips we’ve had for years. The batter on the fish is super crunchy and the fish is fresh and plentiful. Large chips are huge and cooked very well. I was raised in the UK and fish and chips were weekly thing. As good as I remember from my time living in England. Top notch

Absolutely delicious seafood!
Tucked away at the back of Anglesea Shopping Village is this unassuming location. After reading Ben Shewry of Attica’s recommendation, we decided we just had to make the effort to stop in.
The menu is minimal with a specials board for seasonal seafood so we ordered the Barramundi (which came with chips) and some battered prawns.
The seafood was cooked perfectly and the batter was incredibly light.
There are tables and chairs to eat at but I imagine that these would get crowded during peak times.
Best bet would be to take your order across the road and eat it at the beach - which I imagine we would do next time!

Wow. Talk about some of the ultimate fish and chips on the planet. The fish extremely fresh, the batter fluffy and ultra crispy. The chips actually have potato flavour. Incredible and can't wait to go back.

Nestled in the heart of Anglesea, this fish bar offers a delightful seafood experience that has left me eager to return. The star of the show here is undoubtedly the fish, which is remarkably fresh, superbly battered, and cooked to crispy perfection. Each bite is a delightful harmony of flavors and textures.

My personal favorite on the menu is the calamari rings, which are generously thick and tender, encased in a well-crumbed coating that retains its crispiness without being overly greasy. It's a joy to savor the contrast between the succulent calamari and the satisfying crunch of the batter.

The accompanying chips are equally impressive, perfectly cooked to a golden, crispy finish. They provide an excellent sidekick to the seafood delights. And let's not forget the tartare sauce, a delightful companion with its creamy, tangy goodness that elevates the entire meal.

Overall, this place has won me over with its top-notch seafood offerings, and I can't wait to return for another memorable dining experience. Whether you're a seafood lover or simply seeking a delicious meal, this place is worth a visit.

I can't remember the last time I had fish and chips this good. Grilled barra was superb and the salad exceeded my expectations. Potato cakes appear to be made in house. Chunchy light batter. Good portion sizing. Absolutely value for money in terms of quality and flavour.

Great Fish and chips, the salads are also great. It's my go to place whenever I'm in Anglesea. The fish is always fresh and they have a nice selection of wine. Highly recommend.

Best fish and chips we have ever had. All super fresh and cooked to perfection. Not your average fish n chip shop. We had the battered Blue Grenadier fish. The batter was light and crunchy. Potato cakes were homemade and out of this world. Actually tasted the light fluffy potatoes inside the crisp coating. Calamari rings were crumbed and huge and cooked to perfection. Chips were super too. Highly recommend.

Superb fish and chips joint in Anglesea. Definitely worth a stopover if you are driving pass this town along the Great Ocean Road. Their seafood is super fresh and portions are huge and definitely worth the price. They provide very good service as well. Top notch!

Had the battered fish and chip pack and added a potato cake. I have to say the way they make the batter and the potato cakes are nothing like I have ever seen. The batter was crumbley and seemed to be very light and airy. Having said this, the fish was super fresh as one would expect being near the ocean. This is so far the best fish and chips I have ever had coupled with the unique twist on a potato cake that is just a thick slice of potato that has been battered. It's soft and fluffy inside and cripsy on the outside. My only negative thought has nothing to do with the food and more to do with the seating and poor umbrellas that I feel where not big enough. I feel the shop would benefit from installing a shade that can retract into the side of the shop if the council allows this otherwise some lager umbrellas.

Of-fish-cially the best place to stop for incredibly fresh and expertly cooked seafood. Oysters were fresh and plump and wonderfully briny. It’s not just fish and chips - it’s FRESH fish and chips. Everything was a real winner on the plate :)

Absolutely gem of a spot when you are doing the Great Ocean Drive.

Amazing fish and chips. Don’t go if you’re expecting an average fish and chip shop with a lot of fish choice, dim sims, chiko rolls and burgers and stuff. Do go if you want excellent quality really fresh fish (just a few varieties the night we went) with super light and crispy batter, great chips and the best potato cakes ever - thick cut, real potato flavour and that amazing ultra crispy batter. It’s popular for a reason.

The best batter on a fish ever. Crisp in the airiest, lightest and best possible way. Breaking it apart, it holds its shape with the fish still inside, rather than peeling off and the fish falling out. Flake perfectly cooked. Very lightly seasoned, to the tastes of lighter eaters, with the option to add more for salt lovers. Potato cakes equally well battered and just amazing with an actual thick slice of potato inside, rather than a sliver and masses of batter. Chips appear lightly battered as well to add extra crispiness on the outside. Just an excellent experience at what is almost a hole in the wall fish and chip shop. The best!!

Lovely place, a little away from the traffic so it was nice for my anxious greyhound to sit and chill.

We had grilled flake and salad (slaw) which was fantastic. The owner also sliced sea trout into sashimi pieces. Very fresh, and the sauce provided was fantastic. We also had whitebaits fried with a little bit of cornmeal covering the, just for $10. Couldn’t believe the quality of the foods just for about $40. Would highly recommend.

Best fish and chips I have eaten in Victoria. Batter was thin and crispy, Grilled Fish was actually grilled and not smothered with different herbs, Calamari rings were tender not rubbery. Worth going to.
