Love this beach! The perfect place to take the kids for a paddle or swim. We enjoyed watching the surfers and students having their surfing lesson and walking to the rocks. The water is so clear and the waves gentle on the shore.

Great place to go out to and watch everything go by. The nearby beach is perfect for young children as the waves aren’t as large as the main beach. The rock pools here are excellent and full of life.

One of the best hidden beach on the great ocean road. The beach has facilities like shower, toilets, bbq. It’s good sandy beach with perfect clean water.

This is such a beautiful beach.Seems to be a family friendly type of waters and I did not see any evidence of dangerous water turbulence.

Nice beach, best place for a bit of surfing, due to my beachhouse being down in this cosy town of Anglesea

Beautiful beach, fine sand, clear calm waters, generally very little or no seaweed. The sand is clean, bright, and extends very deep in to the water. The waters are generally a bit cool, but it's perfect on hot days, and it's kid friendly. In the off season it's quiet and is perfect for a romantic day at the beach. In summer, the beach tends to be very busy, but still worth the visit. When the tides are out there are beautiful Rockpools to explore at the the point, but it is wise to bring appropriate footwear for exploring the rocky areas.

Great spot to spend the day at the beach with the family.
Fun little waves for the Mal, an excellent place to learn to surf. nice walking on the beach.
Plenty of car parking, showers, toilets and the kiosk has food and drinks in summer months.

This beach is awesome. It is just a small detour off Great Ocean road, but less crowded compared to some of the other beaches. The beach itself is sheltered by the rocky ridges on South West side. You could also walk to the unsheltered side and see the rough sea crashing persistently on the shore.

Our favourite beach in the area. Great for families because of the pool created in low tide that is safe for young children to swim unaccompanied. Beyond that the beach extends for a long way out and is great for swimming. Also, the cafe nearby looks like a humble shack but serves up excellent Padre Coffee and almost gourmet sandwiches. Even the sausage rolls surprised us. We will definitely be back for more.

About Anglesea
Town in AustraliaAnglesea is a town in Victoria, Australia. It is located on the Great Ocean Road in the Surf Coast Shire local government area. In the 2016 census, Anglesea had a population of 2,545 people. Originally known as Swampy Creek, the area's name was changed to Anglesea River in 1884 when the township was established. A Post Office under that name opened on 16 April 1886. and was renamed Anglesea in 1950. The name derives from Anglesey, an island in North Wales. Alcoa of Australia operated a power station and open-cut coal mine near the town from 1969 until August 2015. The site is now the subject of restorative work. In February 1983, the Ash Wednesday fires swept through the area, destroying many houses. source
