Anglesea Art House

What a wonderful community space! The volunteers who showed us round were so friendly and informative. Highly recommend a visit to this gem of a gallery/studio.

If you only join 1 this year make it this Association. This is a great share space for art lovers. Try your hand at Drawing, Painting-Oil/Acrylic or Water Colour, Glass slumping , Pottery in the classes running every term. Join groups that are collectives that work towards excelling in a particular medium.

Every January the Art House in Anglesea runs Kids Art activities from 10-4pm daily. This is a local event and the ladies who volunteer their time, help the kids and are very encouraging. There is a small charge dependent on the activities the children undertake....this is to cover the costs of materials. There are no time limits, the children can stay all day and even return the next day to finish off their art work. Some of the beautiful local art work is displayed and available to purchase.....glass creations, paintings, hand crafted items. Parents are welcome!

Being part of Arts Bash is great fun.

My kids have made the most amazing things here and I still have them in my garden. Whether they are totem poles, paintings or sketches, I love the freedom that the people are given to explore their creativity.
The staff are lovely and often volunteers. They are helpful and keep up the supplies to the every creatively hungry kids over the school holidays.
It's worthwhile booking in advance as the classes are popular.
Parents beware: your house may fill out with your child's creations and you know it's a crime to throw out their artwork. LOL.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking.
