Good bank but less atm around us

I have been a Bendigo bank client for 5 years ! In the past 6 months I have become so perplexed at the lack of service and attention at Bendigo ! Last December they chose to close the Victor Central shopping centre branch - they dismissed made redundant all the mature age staff told them not to reapply for their jobs at the new community branch ! First mistake was that they should have taken the mature age staff faces clients are used to over to the new branch ! The new branch is out of town and requires elderly folk to drive or get a taxi to the branch ! Too far to walk. The second mistake was that they decided that they would change eftpos facilities but didn’t tell their clients ! I emailed several times, telephoned several times requesting information on eftpos facilities over several months being told someone would get back to me ! No one got back to me, finally after 3 months a staff member called and said sorry about lack of communication but changing over and we cannot assist you. Third mistake was yesterday I emailed requesting information in a lost transaction in my account 24 hours later no response. I also telephoned the main line it was a 46 minute wait so I requested a call back. I received a call back and was asked my usual 10 questions and thanks I went through my issue the young lady put me on hold and said will get back to you in a minute! She transferred me to another department because it was too hard! The lady that answered the phone was very blunt and forthright in her tone stating I rang them, I tried to explain to her I was in hold , she was getting very blunt and than asked which area do I live in? She than decided all too hard and transferred me to the branch, the lady who answered the phone in the branch was not also interested ! She tried to give me off also snd said look if the transaction isn’t in your account in a couple days than pop into the branch maybe wait till end of the week! I said to her that all other transactions in the same batch came through but there was one missing! She said she would look into it and give me a call back ! No call back as yet - 24 hours later! Bendigo used to be a great bank, great staff that’s why I opened my accounts with them. I have since closed 2 accounts and considering not banking with them at all after there closure at the central shopping centre! Seriously customer service is about polite communication respect and addressing the customers needs! In the words of Richard Branson look after your staff and they will look after your customers! The previous mature staff all made redundant ( whatever) were fantastic ! The new staff look team now ! Don’t give a dam about customers and the way you are spoken to on the phone leaves do much to be desired! I am really over it all ! I will go somewhere else and start making changes! Bendigo ! You need to lift your game! ( o and by the way I am not the only one, an old friend that had many investment properties and worth millions of dollars was treated similarly, he moved banks after similar treatment) Bendigo was one of the best banks in the market ! What an awful bank. Was thinking of going with them but no more. Twice I have been into their banks in different towns trying to get change as I needed urgently and they were closest to me. I had a $50 note and twice was rudely rejected as not a member
I cannot understand why. Only notes to coins
Whatever happened to helping people out. It was not like they were busy. Victor harbour were just as rude. I will never go back and will take my business elsewhere in the future.

Talk about killing a branch! This is now a Community Bank Branch. It is around 1 km. from the shops. It is difficult to find. When you find it, you will wonder why you bothered. I suggest you don't bother.

Staff are always rude and never listen I’m done and going elsewhere.
