I had a friend visit town and we decided we would go out and celebrate at a restaurant. It's not something that I do very often. So when I do to go to a restaurant I'm really hoping that the food will be good then the service will be good and the atmosphere will be good.
When we visited the red orchid, we were graded with a smile. There's nothing like a friendly atmosphere people to make you feel like you're at home to make you feel welcome.
We decided to sit outside which was really nice.
The young gentleman who served us was very friendly and you can tell that it wasn't just make believe he was just friendly by nature.
What we were very impressed with was the entree for $12.50 which gives you four different foods of different variety to eat. Now these were definitely homemade. They weren't shop bought items. The taste was unbelievable. The freshness was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed them.
For main meals we had the barramundi and prawns and also a fried duck dish and also some fried rice.
I had a Coca-Cola and my friend had a red wine overlooking the park and the ocean. It was a beautiful place. We really enjoyed our time here and want to thank the red orchid for not only having good food but for being friendly and making us feel welcome.

Absolutely delicious food and excellent prices. The service was great and very friendly staff. Drinks menu is cheap and varied. The atmosphere was good and the wait for food was not long. Very fresh and delicious. Highly recommend

Great food and wine, the owners and staff are friendly, attentive and professional. My favourite dish is the Barramundi Curry , it is so good! I highly recommend the Red Orchid whether you want a romantic dinner, a catch up with friends or a large birthday celebration as they can cater for everyone. I booked last minute for my Birthday which fell on a Monday this year and had the best evening with 15 friends. This place is a little gem in Victor Harbor.

Just delicious! Perfectly cooked chicken, and a whopping great portion too. Delicious lemon sauce on the side, crunchy fresh vegetables and lovely happy service. Great prices! What a find in little old Victa. My new fav place.

Lovely meals, customer service was fantastic. They accept any tips, even if it was old movie tickets from the film ‘Elvis’. Food recommendations were great from the server as we received a “I don’t know” which brightened our days… whoops I mean night. Would definitely come back!

Best Asian food in Victor Harbor! Love the service too!

A weekend at Victor and ate here 2 nights in a row. Superb food and service. The barramundi curry is a must. We like spicy so make sure if you do too, you ask. They have different spice levels. The prawn cones for entree were delicious.

We've been here early december 2022 and had a lovely and reall good meal and had a little chat afterwards just to come and realise the owners not only new where Groningen is but they are also familiar with the Vismarkt.

Great dinning experience and amazing staff. The food was some of the best I've had at similar themed restaurants. The only compliant was that I got to full too fast.

Dined in for dinner. Food was so delicious for all the family, came out very quick and table service from the waiters was very attentive and polite, came here 3 years ago last time we stayed in victor and glad to have the same experience again

Five stars for the service! We came in without a booking, then added a few more people after already ordering. The staff treated us wonderfully, were so accommodating every step of the way. Above and beyond!

Food was amazing, we had the chicken and prawn Red Orchid noodles and the Beef Hoikken noodles they were both delicious!

Always love a tom yum with prawns!
