Beautiful place and camp. I give it 5 stars because it deserves it. But people are terrible.. last saturday 28/01/23 3 cars arrived to have a picnic, clearly local people. They enjoyed and left lighting a fire and throwing all their rubish in. Beer cans and bottles, tin foil and probably plastic too but it got consumed by the time i checked.
3 cars and they couldn't take their rubish with them, what is wrong with people? And lighting a fire and leaving it unattended. This is how forests fires can happen, and this is why finding free camps around can get difficult, because they can't trust people to do things right..

One of the best campsites we visited in all of tassie. Can get full quickly...get in after lunch or you might miss out on a spot. Falls took us about 2hrs 30mins return.

A beautifully maintained camp along a stunning creek line. Very busy in summer, empty in winter. Can be cold, BYO wood and kindling. Recent floods closed the Liffy falls track but they have been remade and the walk is superb

It’s nice having a clean toilet there. The site is free and no need for booking. Also there are lots of spots to put your camping gear. It’s close to Laffey falls track.

Camp ground opened 3/3/23 after being closed for flooding. Amazing camp ground, multiple private, well spaced sites, clean and flushing single toilet. Fire pit spaces with swing away hot plate and a plethora of dry firewood due to being closed for months. Walking track was closed due to maintenance and repairs.

Awesome tranquil campsite with tables + benches & fire pits at multiple sites. Next to the creek. Central bathroom. No mobile reception in case you wonder. Start of the Liffey falls track.

One of the best free camping locations in the state. Large grassed areas, with fire pits complete with swing away hotplate. There is a single toilet but no shower. Easy access. Don't be tempted to go to the top carpark there's no camping and the road is too narrow for caravans and motorhomes. there's plenty of kindling however bring you own dry firewood. Enjoy!

Although we did not camp but went hike towards Liffey Falls, would definitely be back for camping by the small river on both side with good toilet facilities. Only 30 minutes drive from Launceston, easily accessible and driving through small villages is just fun.

This is a great (and free) campground right next to the river, with undefined campsites but quite a lot of space (I'd say around 20 campsites with comfortable spacing). There is one flushing toilet that was very clean when we were there. We even saw a platypus in the river!

Official campsite is closed due to flooding but there is a makeshift campsite by the bridge. Still had a lovely stay. No toilets, no reception.
