Such a beautiful view across the lake. It's worth popping in if you are driving past.
This intake is for the Poatina hydro power station. The water follows a tunnel to the power station, a 900m drop below.
Our next stop was the Poatina Headrace tunnel, which has an extraordinary lookout.

Good scenic spot to chill by the lake and there are some good camping spots nearby.

No facilities here, but the quietest camping spot I have ever been to!

Ok for a quick stop just off the road to jump out the car and view the great lake. There are no amenities here, all there that you will find here is a turning circle for your vehicle, good enough for a larger truck or caravan. What you do get is a good viewpoint of the great lake in tasmania's central plateau.

Not much facility around. Good to take some breeze. But nothing more.
