Fantastic breakfast and great coffee. We thouraghly enjoyed the pancakes and eggs on toast (with optional fermented rice bread) as pictured. Great options for dietary requirements. Very attentive service from waitstaff, with orders arriving promptly thereafter.

We visited there today, and the KFC bun and bowl were both exceptional...that sweet and sour sauce on the chicken is so amazing!! The vibes are so homely and nice in here! I'm a coffee connoisseur as well, and that long black was on point. Highly also recommend the Korean twisted donuts, tasted amazing. This is definitely a hidden gem in Surry Hills that is easy to miss. My boyfriend and me both rate it 10/10.

A cute cafe to unwind, connect with others, and enjoy delicious food. It’s a no-brainer this place is amazing! Great portion of food and good coffee in a clean and friendly space.

Highly recommend their ‘Soul Galbi bowl’ ! Good quality marinated meat cooked to perfection. Meat was tender and had a slightly smoky taste, paired with delicious egg noodles, kimchi, and radish. My favourite was the ‘K street toast’ ! Portion was big and filling, and it was the perfect balance between savoury and sweet in a bite ! Inside the sandwich was a vege omelette, ham, and cheese & jam. Simple but delicious !!

I had an amazing time with my sister here and would definitely go back :) Keep it up, Soul Deli !

We had a very good brunch experience here. The food was very delicious. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful in recommending what to order since we've never been here before. Their famous Korean doughnut was absolutely divine! I would definitely be back here.

Good K restaurant, I love the K doughnuts (꽈배기) here. It's amazing! I had KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) with egg noodle and Sashimi mix rice. It was fabulous!

One of my favourite brunch spots in Sydney.

Soul Deli is a Korean cafe in Surry Hills, serving amazing brunch dishes. They also sell housemade kimchi and other sauces to cook with.

I recommend the KFC hotcakes, dirty nutty latte and the Korean donut.

You can’t go wrong the KFC Hotcakes. Perfect Korean fried chicken with a sweet sauce. Surprisingly the maple syrup and hotcakes werent actually too sweet. I loved every bite of it!

I always get a delicious Korean donuts when I visit too. Fluffy in the inside, drowned in rice syrup and topped with black sesame.

I’m so glad that I gave the dirty nutty latte a try. The latte was topped with foamy peanut cream, which paired so nicely with the espresso.

Soul Deli is Korean fusion cafe which I've been couple of times. And I've enjoyed both their normal and truffle menu. It can get really busy on weekends so expect to wait during popular brunch and lunch time.

SOUL Deli is a great little diner with a Korean influence. The coffee is great and the KFC pancakes were awesome. It is situated in the lobby of hotel but this is not your regular hotel cafe. Service is friendly and food is great!

Oct ‘23: Back here in their new location. Everything is as excellent as the OG location. Still love my umamishroom bowl. Really nice drinks too.

Original review: Comfort food with exciting Korean twists! We tried the smashed avo with white kimchi, kimchi pizza & umami shroom bowl - all excellent. Walked out with the Bulgogi sauce and chilli sauce in bottles which I am very excited to use. Love that they have so many vegan & vegetarian options! Excellent coffee too! We'll be back soon!

Food tastes great, a mix of western and Korean food.
KFC hot cakes - chicken was cooked perfectly with a small amount of heat, fluffy pancakes and yummy cultured butter.
Pulled pork cheese sandwich - super toasty and cheesy, lots of filling, packed with umami flavours and comes with a side of pickles.
Coffee was good, staff was attentive and friendly, super quick service from taking orders to having food on the table and great airy light filled space.

Overall, great food, service and ambience for a brunch place.
Would definitely be back to try other items on the menu!

Omg the food was so good! Wish I had more time in Sydney to eat here. I had a soul bowl around 1030am even though online website says they're not available until 11. So glad I ate it. It was so good! The tea was good!

Actually a genius restaurant that has blended korean and western cuisine successfully. My recommendation (and house special) is the galbi (marinated ribs). Next was the KFC hotcakes. The lattes were certainly different with chestnut being very memorable.

You know this spot is bangin’ when there’s always a line to sit down. And for good reason! These bowls are redonkulous!

I got a bowl with salmon, and partner got the beef brisket. Was hard to tell who had the better bowl honestly. There were no leftovers. The soft egg on top is like gold on top.

We wrapped up with the housemade matcha scone for dessert. Apparently, tomato jam is different than tomato sauce. How bout that!

Glad I saved some of my flat white for it, because it was an impeccable combination. Definitely coming back even if it’s for the scone alone.

But yeah everything was nice. And our dog enjoyed sniffing all the dogs that passed by on the street—there’s a dog store a few shops down.

So first time here, definitely coming back. The KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) hotcakes were simply AMAZING! The chicken was perfect cooked, with a nice amount of spicy heat. The hotcakes were tasty and fluffy! The cultured butter and maple syrup were a fantastic touch. I can’t recommend this dish enough. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. Coffee is also good as well. Staff are friendly and attentive.
