This is seriously one of the most underrated, romantic, and beautiful little cozy restaurants in all of Sydney. Spectacularly delicious Italian food. Love the very cozy and intimate atmosphere. While the downstairs area is the classic area for seating, I think I would encourage more folks to sit at the big, long marble table in the front. The service is excellent, and it was great to connect with the staff over a delicious meal. Well done.

Probably one of my favourite pasta venues in Sydney. Love that they continue to make their pastas in house and by hand.

Highlights: all time favourite being papadelle. The seasonal changes to the burrata is a nice touch. The focaccia is fluffy and delicious, goes perfect with the burrata. The affogato is fun and not to be missed by coffee lovers.

Really enjoyed the food here! The restaurant has an upstairs seating area that’s candle lit and quite intimate/romantic. We ate the bistecca, wagyu beef parpadelle and the chocolate cremino and they all hit the spot. It was super filling as well! Great experience and food overall for a nice Italian dinner.

Peppe looked after us, he was amazing, had a table of 16 in the front room and everything was so good from food to service to the vibe it was 100% worth it. Will have to come back for smaller dining experience!

A Tavola was a fine dining experience that I thoroughly enjoyed.

The service was very friendly. The staff were incredibly helpful in explaining the menu (which is like reading a foreign language) and making recommendations on what to order.

The food was so delicious. Every dish that was ordered was mouth-watering and of a superior quality. The wine selection was also amazing!

The restaurant has a lovely ambience which lends itself for a special occasion or a date night.

Proving just how popular this place is, it is recommended that you book a month in advance!

I'd definitely be keen to come back!

I took my friend here for a celebratory dinner and the experience couldn’t have been better. From the second you step foot in it’s just heaven. The entire night was fantastic. The food was delicious, the ragu pasta especially was incredible, and the dessert special was a lemon type thing I can’t actually remember the name of but it was amazing. If you’re looking for a special spot in the area and are willing to pay for it this is a great option. Highly recommended

A Tavola is my favourite place to eat food. Especially their pasta! I am gluten free and they can make practically any dish gluten free. Their staff is amazing and so kind. They are also very understanding. The atmosphere is so calm and peaceful. The candles really set the mood. I love it there and can't wait to come back many times in the future!

Wow! A Tavola was a surprise and delight. I received a surprise delivery from the restaurant as a gift from a friend and was absolutely delighted by the freshness and taste of everything included. There was also, easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to prepare each dish which the whole family was happy to get involved in. The ragu beef pasta was definitely a favourite dish we will go back for again and again.

Divine cuisine paired with excellent wines and cocktails. A beautiful ambiance at the back of the restaurant plus a communal long dining table at the entrance.

The Burrata and Octopus were divine and the salads fresh and loaded with flavour. Most of the table enjoyed the delicious beef paradelle with everything cooked to perfection.

Unexpectedly, their focaccia was the best I’ve ever had - so fresh and melt in your mouth.

A great spot for a date or business dinner but perhaps not the right ambiance for spirited celebration.

One of the Italian restaurants I've been meaning to visit and it did not let me down👌. Love everything from ambiance to service and food. Our table server was friendly and helpful with making order recommendations. Pastas we had on the day were perhaps both specials as I could not find on their website menu. The seafood one was very yummy so I'm sad that I didn't note the name of the dish🥺. The seafood one was tortellini with prawns(?) and fish roes, the other one was rigatoni al ragu - complimented brilliantly with each other🍝. The mood was homely and perfect for a romantic dinner date.

Beautiful starters, pasta mains and dessert! The team there were friendly, helpful and created a warm atmosphere.
The pasta is made on site and you can see them make it as you go in- brilliant. It was silky and delicious and the crab tagliatelle and rigatoni ragu was perfect!
I can’t fault anything about this place and I will be back. It’s up there with the best in Sydney

Best Italian in Sydney, hands down. Staff was gracious and made us feel very welcome. Food was tingling. Every dish was a star of its own. Would highly recommend the tagliatelle. My first time going, but definitely won’t be the last.

Amazing service! Staff makes you feel like you're the most special and honorable guest they've ever served.

Delicious food, very delightful romantic atmosphere. Overall, a fantastic experience.

I highly recommend the pappardelle dish.
The pasta is otherworldly, it is homemade and has an amazing bite to it.
All flavours are well-balanced and work well with each other.

Celebrated my birthday at A Tavola this year with my family. The food and wine were exceptional, as was the staff knowledge and recommendations. We have the caparccio, tuna, Pappardelle, fish and gnocchi. All were amazing & the chocolate dessert nicely finished off the evening.

Atmosphere (4/5) - Amazing little place. We sat and ate dinner at a lovely long inbuilt table which during the day doubles as a place for the chefs to make their amazing home made pasta. It felt like you were in the kitchen almost with a semi industrial look but not in a harsh and clinical setting. Mixers and rollers setup behind, ambient lighting, and cosy seating with strangers made for a great experience. Although seated close to our neighbours, we didn’t feel like we were too close to them nor that we couldn’t have a private conversation.

Food (5/5) - This is such a gem of a place to find. We had literally stumbled on it via google maps, and decided to take the 20 min walk from our hotel to check it out. The freshness of the pasta was perfect, and the richness of the overall dish simply superb. Everything was simple yet flavours just exploded in our mouths.

Service (5/5) - For me the way the staff interact is the thing that often makes or breaks a dining experience. Knowing when to interrupt your guests to offer the next course, an additional wine etc and the how you do it is super critical. These guys nailed it. Our waitress, not only sporting epic pair of red eyewear, but a lovely accent and she just knew her stuff. She welcomed us warmly, walked us through every dish on the menu and offered her fav’s.. helped us with the pronunciation (which we semi murdered) and overall kept us very happen all evening.

Final Verdict - if you are looking for a lovely, intimate evening out in the suburbs of Sydney then this is a must. Not only do they have this establishment but several others and do pasta making classes (next time we are in Sydney we are doing this).

Consistently good food and service. The menu isn’t very big but what is on offer is made perfectly and tastes incredible. Ambience is very good as is the wine list

Great Italian cuisine in a nice atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful with their recommendations. The pappardelle, amatriciana, bistecca, burrata, and salad were well paired with the wine they recommended as an alternative to our original choice. The bistecca was a clear favourite for me, I’ve never seen a T-bone cooked rare where the meat peels off the bone easily. The red wine jus and mustard are a delightful pairing, and it was a pleasant surprise that it was served already cut into small portions for sharing.

Would easily recommend this restaurant to anybody!
