Appleseed Cafe

Convenient central location. Had lunch here before visiting the nearby Gilbert’s Motor Museum. Enjoyed the corn fritters followed by a choc brownie with cream and a cappuccino. Friendly and quick service. Reasonable prices. Coffee Loyalty card.

We went with our new neighbors for lunch.

The staff were very friendly.

We ordered 2 big breakfasts and 2 chicken burgers which arrived quick and it was very delicious.

We ordered drinks 2 smoothies which alas I forgot to take a picture of but they also were very tasty.

I have been seeing many posts of food served there they look very appetizing and I would love to try them.

We were recommended to go there by other friends and we do recommend it highly.

We definitely will be going back soon.

Yummy breakfast had a vego breakfast but normally have bacon enjoyed it very much plenty of avocado 2 hash browns only expecting one hot and crispy.Loved the yellow juice very refreshing .l sat outside it was a lovely day

Love this Cafe. Lovely aesthetic, beautiful, different, flavourful, food. It's so nice to go somewhere that doesn't have the same old stuff. Yummy, comforting choice of cakes/desserts also. We got a few to take home as we're not local. The way the ingredients are used takes me back to my childhood. Nostalgic and legit home made vibe, not off a production line. Friendly staff and hats off to the people behind the food. Can't wait to come back.

Best coffee in town! Friendly staff and a good variety of food and snacks on offer at reasonable prices. Much of the food is sourced locally.
The venue is accessible for wheelchairs via the side door. There are options to sit outside (front and rear of the cafe) and also a large indoor area at the rear of the cafe which would suit groups of around 20 people.
The owner Gemma is very supportive of local artists and there is a variety of work available for sale (photos and paintings etc).
Also, the toilets are kept clean at all times - the best I've seen anywhere.

When I'm working in Strath this is my go to cafe. The staff are so friendly & welcoming and it has a relaxed atmosphere. Pleasant outdoor seating areas. There is a nice selection of food and very tasty. I particularly like their scones, which are always fresh & they make a delicious iced mocha. The coffee is also good. They have a loyalty card which is nice for returning customers. Plenty of free on street parking close by. Would definitely recommend.

Travelled from Mannum to Strath for breakfast, chose the Appleseed because we enjoyed our previous visit (some time ago) We were not disappointed! Excellent big breakfast and eggs Benedict! Smiling, friendly greeting, friendly, polite staff very clean surroundings. Attention to a great menu, well priced excellent food, clean surroundings with attention to small details show that this is a very well run Business. I highly recommend this restaurant. Will definitely go back there next time in Strathalbyn! Thank you Appleseed.

My husband had fritters & I had chicken & sweet corn soup. The soup was the best I've ever tasted & the fritters were delicious. Outstanding food, lovely Cafe with friendly helpful staff.

Had lunch at Appleseed Cafe and it was absolutely delightful! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I got the eggs Benedict and it was delicious. My mates got the shepard’s pie and chicken quesadillas which were both scrumptious! Their mocha and hot chocolate were good but their chai was bland but sweet.

Today was my first visit to Appleseed Cafe, I was really impressed! It's a lovely, comfortable cafe with friendly service and yummy food. I had the chicken quesadilla, it was vibrant, delicious and a good sized portion.

We absolutely love Appleseed Cafe. The food is consistently delicious with beautiful fresh ingredients and flavours. Staff are super friendly and it has a cosy atmosphere. We visit weekly and would definitely recommend.

Ordered prawn risotto, chicken wrap, apple crumble and juices. Fresh & delicious. Portion is good. Service is friendly, quick & impeccable.

We looked up for a good coffee & were directed here. Very grateful as it was superb.
Coffee, top notch. Berry muffin slightly warmed, fantastic. Little tub of cream.. It was real cream, not fake and I was in heaven.

We visited this lovely cafe during a stay in Strathalbyn. Service was excellent, as was the food and drinks. A good range of healthy food options. Atmosphere was warm and cosy on a winters day. Well worth a visit.

What a great little cafe!! The nourish bowl was amazing and the chai frappe was delish. Will be coming here whenever I am visiting my family in Strath! Can’t wait to try the honeycomb hot choc with my sister

Lovely gluten and lactose free foods and drinks. Very good and friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Pleasantly surprised to find this place whilst driving through, the food was fresh and delicious. The Soba Noodle Bowl Vegan option was amazing!
