WOW!!! I had heard about this place and kept it on my radar for a while. I finally went, and it was sooo worth it! Absolutely amazing food, great service, the atmosphere was amazing 🤩 I so strongly recommend going here - great for birthdays also! They change the music, bring out some sparklers and it’s a great vibe ✨

I recently dined at Don't Tell Aunty, and it was an incredible culinary experience! The service was impeccable, and the ambience was perfect for a memorable evening. I highly recommend trying the Crispy cauliflower – it was a delightful explosion of flavours. The staff's knowledge of the menu and their warm hospitality made the evening even more enjoyable. I can't wait to return for another delicious meal!

We wanted to share the plate but were told no, while the beautiful white women next to us were served the same plate to share. 🤷‍♀

The food on the other hand was reasonable. I had don’t tell uncle drink which was fine. Won’t say anything about crispy cauliflower, I think enough has been already said it is all true.

The dal was a real charm, chili naan looked terrible but it was not that hot. All in all good food.

A brilliant night, the food was sensational - deep-fried cauliflower with lightly spiced tomato sauce, chutney happy shots and a wide variety of deliciously mild curries.
Our wait-staff was the impeccable Sichu, who guided us through the menu with great generosity and attended to our every need with grace and joy.
We’ll be back to savour the vibrant, party atmosphere and incredible food.

Amazing delicious and well designed dishes, if you want to go back home full belly, I recommend the set menu. Most of the dishes have mild spiciness.

The Dishes

We got the $100 set menu, the food was amazing and here are the highlights.

Fried Couliflower, simple, well executed, crunchy and delicious. The sauce is well balanced and was a strong start.

Balls with chutney, this was one of the dishes that most surprised me. Crunchy balls with a mix o chutneys create an amazing combination in your mouth when exploded 😋

Biriani arancini balls, this was a surprise to be so simple and so good. The yoghurt with it make the dish so amazing that I highly recommend.

The curry plate, for sure was the highlight. Most of them were very well executed, not very spicy.

The drinks

The house drinks were very good, have a lot of influence of spices. Was a high standards.

What was bad?
Two things that let me down, one was the service when we arrived. The staff at 12pm didn't explain anything of the menu. And when the dish was delivered no explanation were made. Just around 12:30 that other staff members arrived the service got better.

The lamb chops, where horrible. Uneven saltiness with some parts Extremely salty. The chops were hard to cut and not pleasant. I think was a mistake in the kitchen and expected to not be like that.

Lunched at Don't Tell Aunty last weekend, and it didn't disappoint. This restaurant was on my list to try for some time. It had a great colourful atmosphere and the food was delicious, the garlic and chive naan was so good and great cocktails!

A must try restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. We came here for dinner for my friends birthday and got the banquet menu. The happy shots were delicious, curry and nan were great and the cocktails were theatrical. A great place for a birthday or large dinner party. A little pricey, but worth it for a nice treat out with friends!

Top notch bottomless brunch, you won't leave hungry (or thirsty!)

Two options both very good value for money for the amount of food you get - after all the starting dishes I expected our main to be a shared thali of curries but you get one each! None of us could finish them!
(Personally I think the curries could be a bit punchier but also fully understand they're catering for a wide range of palates.)
Lovely friendly staff, great service and a fun vibe. They'll also make a bit of a show out of it if it's your birthday :)

Will definitely be recommending to others!

The food was great. I ordered their vegan butter chicken and garlic naan. However, the "vegan meat" part was not well-cooked.

The service was very good.

We came as a party of 5 with 1 being vegan. The service was outstanding, and the cocktails & food tasted amazing! Every dish even the vegan dishes were full of flavour. Portions are on the small size, but we all left very content with full bellies.

The only letdown of our experience was the noise. The restaurant was only 1/2 full for lunch on Sunday, but it was very hard to hold a conversation without talking loudly. It's certainly not a place to come and enjoy a quiet relaxing meal.

Wow, those starter shots were absolutely delicious! The service and atmosphere were spot on. Just a word of caution, if it happens to be your birthday, make sure you're not shy because things might get a little wild! 😄

I never had such a great experience in Australia so far. We 2 went there randomly. We wasn't aware of booking tables and all that things. I am not sure but definitely he was the Owner. We requested him for the table and explain own situation. Guess what " He gave it" despite place was fully packed and people were standing outside for next dine round. Food was great and Environment was " Oh god Wow". Looking forward to see you soon. We will book the table this time. 😊

Food , Customer service , Atmosphere , everything HIT . THE . SPOT .

I did not expect much before coming in but then wow, it was the best Indian cuisine experience ever in my life, regardless to say also in Sydney.

The tasting menu is an absolute no brainer.
It is well priced and appetizers, sauces, everything was just perfect. ( the main’s bottomless )

I am not a big fan of cauliflower and gulab jamun and this place made me fall in love with them, I am truly shocked how good the foods are.

Everyone’s having fun and happy here, servers are really kind and also friendly.

Cannot give enough compliments about this place, will definitely come back !

The food was unreal again. Swatika was really attentive. We didn’t tell the staff but it was our wedding anniversary and they made the night that much more special. Definitely coming back again.

Large place, full of fabulous atmosphere, so much choice of food but the dishes with a choice of different dishes, starters and main all you want is the best thing ever! Cocktails and choices of other alcohol 🍺 or soft drinks is brilliant. So much to eat. Highly recommended!

When you miss India and want to be semi- transported back. Good selection of food, if you can't decide, go with the thali/tasting menu and fill up on their garlic naan. Everything was delicious 🤤

We had the bottomless brunch with margaritas. Delicious.
Great amount of food. Lots of taste. Great atmosphere. The service was great. Didn't have to ask for another drink.

Don't Tell Aunty boasts one of the finest bottomless packages I've had the pleasure of experiencing in Sydney. The Indian cuisine was not only delectable but also generously portioned. The margaritas, freshly made, were a delightful treat. The attentive staff ensured my birthday was an unforgettable celebration. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

They should stick to fine dining
And stay off brunches.

Really bad hospitality during brunches.
Really really bad behaviour of staff towards my family.

Best anniversary dinner EVER! We came to celebrate here and could not have had a better night! We did the tasting menu, had 6 entrees, 10 curries and 2 desserts! Every SINGLE dish was spectacular. So delicious and tasty we almost cried of happiness. Then as a nice little touch, when bringing out the dessert the staff put on Ed Sheeran music really loud and brought it out to us with sparklers and matching hats to wear as a way to say happy anniversary. Thanks so much to the team for an amazing night and memory, we will be recommending you to EVERYONE!
