I highly recommend Cindy and all the staff at the Gippsland Vet -Maffra. They took such good care of our Dachshund. We got an appointment quickly and I received several phone calls with updates during her stay, which was very much appreciated. I felt we were listened to and given the relevant information. Also very reasonably priced. Our sausage is now home and happy thanks to their care.

Hands down one of the best vets. Had my dog a week earlier at another vets, they treated him for skin infection. Brought him home, within 24 hrs he was slowly becoming very unwell.
I called the vets back, I explained what was going on, and that I was seriously concerned something was really wrong. They told me to monitor him, that his fine, nothing life threatening- without even examining him nor taking on board what I was actually saying. I was extra stressed as we had recently adopted our dog too, 6 year old jack Russel. As I explained I too am still getting to know him, so made the situation for me much more stressful. They told me to monitor him, and if he became critical to call back and they’d try fit me back in. 2 days after that I rang around emergency after hours, and after no other vets local able or willing to help me I had got on to nurse at Maffra and thank god I did. My partner had driven him there, but the veterinary on call made a point of calling me while seeing Alfie so she could hear everything that had been going on with him. She listened to me and took Alfie’s health seriously. She made sure he was checked over properly, did the necessary tests without either ripping us off. He ended up having high level of liver enzymes, severe bladder infection and skin was still very irritated and unhealthy. Honestly if we didn’t get to Maffra, I have no idea how he would be. I will stay with with Maffra and it’s about an hour and a half away from where we live. Wouldn’t use another vet coming from Kalimna near lakes.
Use Maffra vets they are great, 10/5 score if I could choose that

I’m always very happy with the care my dog gets here. The vets are very caring towards him, and listen and respond to my cares and concerns.

Clinic was very clean , receptionist was nice and friendly and veterinarian Rob was very friendly, kind, listened to and explained everything very well.

The Staff are friendly and made me and my pup welcome. The veterinarians are wonderful,kind and full of knowledge to help me understand what is happening with my pup.

I have always had good service from the vets and other staff and would recommend this vets to anyone to take their pets to.

Took my dog in injured. They did an X-ray and splinted the leg and the surgeon followed up a couple of days later and when I saw the surgeon he was fantastic. He explained everything well. No surgery is required but a thorough follow up plan will help my dog recover well.

We were able to get a same-day appointment thanks to a referral from Sale’s clinic! Dr Jess was wonderful with our high-strung and sick kelpie. She came and collected initial history outside as it was more comfortable for our dog at the time, went the extra mile to offer and provide xray images to ease our minds and provided everything we could need from 3 different types of medication, food and water alternatives to aid our dog’s healing. The service and knowledge from her and the nurses out front was prompt, professional and kind! We were far from home and our regular vet on holidays, and I still couldn’t have imagined having better care and support during a difficult time!

Wouldn’t take my pet anywhere else nor the vets are so kind and friendly and they really looked after my dog right through till the end

Such calm caring vets who are there when I really need them. Pets are treated by caring professional staff, but they also look after stressed out owners, with the same care and concern. Highly recommend Maffra Vets. It’s a long drive for me in an emergency, but I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my pets health.

Service above and beyond for treatment for our boy Judd for snake bite. Special mention to vet Sarah Ward for after hour updates. Highly recommend

Gippsland VeterinaryvI found always welcoming. Vet listens to you & takes time to explain things to you, offers options and solutions where appropriate. Gentle with my dog Mia, who is a very scared of everything Rescue dog. They have a program Best Mates which is wonderful as you gave access to consults, nail clipping and % off medications. There is an annual fee. I find it valuable as Mia has a few medical issues.

My experiences coming with my senior dog Ralph are always lovely, he is always thoroughly checked and well taken care of.
The vet drs are always so calm and gentle with him making him feel safe and I always leave having and actually understanding his diagnosis outcome. :)

Very happy with the response time and the overall results.
