Sonbern Lodge Motel

Stayed in cottage number 20. Very nice and private with beautiful bushes hiding the front entrance. Own private parking.
Very clean and homely. Very quiet. Had everything for a short simple and pleasant stay. Easy central location and across the road from the park, great for children. Within walking distance to the shopping street.
Would recommend and would stay again.

What a hidden little gem! We thought we booked a little room upstairs however it ended up being a cute little cottage type set up. Will definitely be back again👍

Sonbern Lodge became like a second home during my father’s hospitalisation in town and later passing and funeral. We stayed on 4 occasions in a few rooms. The owner David was fantastic. All the rooms inside and in the courtyard were impeccably clean and very comfortable. The on-site laundry facilities were great and the location was excellent. Thank you, David for your kindness and hospitality.

A one night stay between jobs was just what we needed after a lot of driving. A courtyard room that was very comfortable with all that one would need to be self-sufficient. Easy walk to pubs, shops and the beach. This place, at least for our needs is a little gem and will definitely stay again if this work continues.

What a wonderful place to stay! It has an old world charm with updated flare . . my room was perfect - great size, very comfortable, loved the carpet.
Everything was provided. The owners are very friendly, helpful & communicative. Great value for $$'s ...Will definetly stay again.

Excellent establishment. Everything i required catered for. Amenities are clean and tidy. The owners live on site, which is a bonus as they can attend to any issues if they arise. I liked the 4 towels provided, even though I was a single. Nice touches with toiletries provided, microwave, bar fridge, etc. I used one of the BBQ provided during my 5 day stay there. Recommend.

Well appointed and comfortable, if you can get around the fact it does look quite tired.
They keep it well maintained and clean and the staff are lovely and very friendly.
Being in such a central location, everything is within walking distance.

Great place, loved the room and all their decor around the place. Staff were lovely and accomodating. We rang up 2 hours before we were coming in and they where happy to fit us in. The room has everything you will need and the building was historically quaint! Would definitely come again!!

Enjoyed our 2 night stay at sonbern lodge, so peaceful and quiet!!. Perfect for those who value their privacy. We had the upstairs family room and found it to be comfortable and well equipped. The beds were soft but supportive. The bathroom was clean and well maintained with a good size shower. The free WiFi worked great and we were able to stream content from our tablet. There is off-street parking to the side of the building and in a perfect location for walking around the Wallaroo town and foreshore area, there is easy access to Kadina and Moonta by car. Wouldn't want a thing to change at Sonbern, has a real homely vibe, Will definitely stay again, just lovely!

We stayed in lovely two bedroom bungalow. Great location. The accomodation included everything we needed. Kids Loved it too, close to the beach, we’ve been riding bout scooters, Wateroo swimming pool enclosurep, playground across the road, shopping mall.
