I enjoyed an exceptional dining experience at a this restaurant. The food was undeniably among the best I've ever tried, characterized by freshness and exquisite flavors. I find myself eager to return and indulge in their delicious offerings again. This restaurant is now a top choice for my future Chinese cuisine cravings.

Absolutely delicious, I would like to give compliments to the chefs and the front-of-house team, we ordered 1 portion of lobster, barramundi and egg york prawns. Their service was so attentive and friendly. We were so full to have the duck, which is one of their signatures as well. Strongly recommend to everyone

Unfortunately didn't get a picture of everything but love the food here - reasonable prices, good flavours and great service. XLB is probably my favourite here and one of the best I've had around. The rice and noodle dishes are also very tasty. The only thing I could pick at is I would prefer if the saltiness of the dishes were toned down a little. Recommend the tofu as well and worth trying the mango pancakes 🥭

I’m a regular customer. Whenever I feel nostalgic and crave for Shanghai food, this is the place to go. They have a very wide selection of dishes, so you will never feel bored even after coming back so many times.

Super delicious and recommend. The xiao long bao, dumplings, rice cake and stir fried rice noodle beef were all delicious.

It must be the top 1 I recommend for everyone who near burwood Westfield and want to have a meal. I have visited twice a week for either takeaway or dine in. All menu recommended.

I ordered takeaway and the order came out in under 10 minutes, very impressive. The flavors are just right, highly recommend the braised pork belly, tasted very comforting.

Amazing authentic Chinese restaurant! Great for big family gatherings or just a small group. The design is very welcoming and a lively environment. Food is amazing and there are so many dishes to choose. The lobster noodles are huge and delicious. The pan fried buns are super soft with a crispy bottom. Everything is very flavourful and high quality. Service is super friendly and with care.

Situated right next to the front entrance of Burwood Westfield. We came on a Saturday night without a booking & waited approx 20mins the line seemed to die down after that suggest to try come before 6pm or after 7pm to avoid having to wait too long. You can also have a drink (alcoholic or non alcoholic) whilst waiting for your table.

The food was very tasty & enjoyed all the dishes. Would love to try the fish dish which I saw on quite a few tables if I get to go here again (I think it was fried fish with sweet & sour sauce).

Service was also very friendly & attentive. This place is good for small & large tables & looks like it’s kid friendly.

The food was so good especially the crispy egg yolk prawn, pan fried bun, and pork green bean stir fry. The customer service also was so nice, I asked them to keep my birthday cake (cheesecake) in their fridge. Once I asked them to bring out the cake, they brought the cake with the candle on the top. I even didn’t ask them to put the candle. They’re so sweet. You’re guys made my day! Definitely will come back soon to try other dishes 😋

This is one of the best Shanghai restaurant and I highly recommend. Wide range of very tasty and authentic Shanghai food. The price is reasonable consider the good quality produce they use. I come here for lunch on weekends very often. Today’s bill I thought was a bit expensive, however after coming home checking the bill I realised that they over charged me for tea where I didn’t order or receive. Other than that incorrect invoicing, it is all good. Consider that $7.60 a tip for them.

⭐Taste of Shanghai⭐ Highly recommended, go to their Burwood store and try their iconic Xiao Long bao dumplings and other Shanghai and Northern Chinese dishes! I honestly loved all the dishes that I ordered, but the one that stood out the most was their new fried chicken bucket with mayo and chilli spices 🌶. Their service was great and the prices are affordable. I will be coming back here again!

This was my first time time dining here, I actually had the craving for xiao long bao which I was not dissapointed with. We also decided to try the deep fried barramundi drizzled with sweet and sour sauce and ordered a side of some green veges to go with it. Overall me and the wife was very impressed and will be coming back with friends so we can sample more of the menu.

Yummy Chinese food at Taste of Shanghai! We had the pork chop with preserved veggie noodle soup, a yang chow fried rice and side of fried chicken for a total of $38 which was very reasonable for lunch in a comfortable restaurant setting!

Food was done perfectly, Portions are huge and were able to feed 4 adults and service was kind and attentive. Highly recommended!
