Ambassador Chinese Restaurant

Had a lovely Malaysian Chinese dinner here after being away from home (Malaysia) for a week. We were pleasantly attended to by a fellow Malaysian who had settled in Perth for the past 9years and had a good warm chat with her. He last time I had a meal here was 20years ago, when I visited Perth last and was happy to note that the quality of food had not changed! Still yummy and decently priced as well! The place itself could do with a face-lift on the interior but overall it was warm and cozy for a cold winters night.

It's been a long time I never come to this restaurant anymore, so today we decided to eat in this place again. The food still good, we order almond fried chicken and fried beancurd roll, both of of the meal really delicious. The crisp from the outside layer but tender inside it. The same with the prawn toast make us want it more!
The service so fast and friendly. The restaurant itself not much different from 10 years ago but the important thing is the restaurant very clean and the carpet is fresh! We will comeback for sure!

Surprisingly good prices and enjoyable food. Drinks prices not exorbitant either. Not so noisy that you couldn't have a conversation.

Location, decorations, service, and food: THE BEST. I haven't had such good Chinese food for so long, the food cooked here made my taste buds cheer in joy, the best Chinese restaurant I have been to. Cheap food, and prawn crackers were given before we ordered. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

Sublime service! Fantastic, impeccably well groomed UNIFORMED wait staff.
Grand "old fashioned" beautifully mannered nothing-to-much-trouble attitude from the front desk (great work Derek!) to the girls serving.

Ample quantities, absolutely fantastic value for money...and free prawn crackers that actually taste like prawn and not cooking oil...
Have absolutely no hesitation to recommend The Ambassador Restaurant to anyone looking for excellence in a Chinese meal.
Top marks to Derek and the "space cadets" ...

Great family atmosphere, the food is wonderfull and authentic, the service is very good and always friendly, the prices are very reasonable and they do fantastic lunch specials, we always leave incredibaly full and satisfied, the only negative thing I have to say is that they are not located closer to where I live!!

We enjoyed a superb midweek lunchtime meal at the Ambassadors. It was obvious that this was a popular restaurant by the number of patrons. The food was delicious.

The restaurant is clean and the food is very good fantastic and
the prices are not to bet.The chef is always smiling.Staff is very nice to and the service is good to.Don't listen to people, just come and try the food and you will always come back

Nothing new, but love old classic chinese restaurant.
They slowly dissappearing!
Memories from the 90's... I hope places like this will stay the way it is!

Quick no fuss seating, quick no fuss menu, no waiting times for food, very delicious meals!

That review above was 4 years ago, however we have been coming to this restaurant for more than 3 decades and we keep coming back so that must tell you something about them. Every restaurant has an "off day" so don't let it put you off. In fact we are ordering a take away tonight. :-)

It's a great memory place for my husband and his parents ❤. It is very reasonably priced and fresh.

Every time I visit Perth I make a B line visit to my favourite Chinese Restauran the Ambassadore. The host Chris and his wonderful staff have a great menu. Try the boneless Chicken and Mushroom sauce, to die for. You wnnt be dissapointed.
