Great facilities and overall atmosphere with the shops out front and the hawks out back

I've seen the Hawks training here a few times, though not the past couple of years due to lockdowns and restrictions. The pix I am posting were taken exactly 3 years ago, in September 2018. They have done up the amenities quite well. My sister and I attended the café as well and enjoyed good food and coffee. I'm hoping to return here next year.

Waverly Park offers a beautiful oval surrounded by an excellent running / walking track as well as a fitness centre, hair salon, barber shop, beautician, dentist, convenience store and restaurant / coffee shop- The Last Piece. Home of the Hawthorn Hawks and their Head Office, Waverly Park also offers the chance to watch the team train in a great setting as well as a Hawks Merchandise Shop. Public car park and street parking. Wheelchair accessible.

Easy to get to,parking available. Hawks supporters able to purchase merchandise and seasons tickets.

Great place to walk around the ground or have a kick on the same ground where the Hawks train. Just need wider nets behind the goals so your footy doesn't end up in someone's backyard

Love the shops there and especially the Last piece restaurant

Love to walk here with or without my dog. Always feel safe and love a hot chocolate from the last piece before I head home.

Great little cafe, easy parking nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The cuisine was simple but very well done

The Last Piece Cafe Restaurant is lovely. Family friendly and welcoming. Recommend booking in advance as they are busy. Coffee was really good and the food was delicious 😋

Great place rich in history. Has best fish and chip shop around.

I had no idea the field was still there, as I always thought it was knocked down to build the town houses. Boy I was wrong!!!
The oval is still there and also parts of the original seating.. it's beautiful and well maintained.
You can actually go there take your picnic rug and enjoy the afternoon with family or friends.
Just not when there is training.

Still a superb playing surface, great for recreation or events, and a really handy running track around the perimeter.
