Great place for the community, live music, community events, coffee club, friendly locals. Pot Luck community dinners occassionally. But needs a full time chef to make good use of their brand new kitchen.

May be slightly biased as a Callington resident but I highly recommend a visit to the Cally Recreation Centre!
They provide a range of community activities from playgroup to coffee club. Events like darts and pool comps, live music and raffles, local cricket & footy. A monthly potluck tea. There’s a great playground & pump track for the kids, with a sheltered bbq.
Plus the wonderful atmosphere of a small country ‘pub’.
And you can even hire the centre for your own birthday, wedding etc!

As a food vendor I frequent many country shows and Callington is by far my favourite. They have the most free activities for kids, every year there are new additions. Its far from the same old, each year. Today was a great turnout and fabulous weather.

What a little gem. Good oval with good parking. Toilets clean and modern.

Staff at the bistro were great and I had the best Beef Schnitzel Burger.

First time we’ve been to the new facility - after stopping in at the old one in our Motorhome many times over the years. The locals have always been extremely friendly and welcoming - but our visit to the new rooms was exceptional!
The meal was terrific - and lots of it at great prices. My wife is vegan and nothing was too much trouble for Trish and her staff. They provided a great plant-based meal for her (even though it wasn’t on the menu) and my fish & chips was wonderful value for money.
My wife wasn’t feeling that well (not because of the meal!) and Trish couldn’t do enough for her.
She provided a remedy for her ailment and my wife retired to the Motorhome. A bit later Trish even drove me back to our Motorhome on the other side of the oval so she could personally check on her well-being.
This was more than “old-fashioned country service” - this was care and service that is rare these days!
Thank you so much Trish for your care and help - you were unbelievable!
And many thanks to the Bistro & Bar staff for great friendly service, and to the locals we met for making us feel so welcome.
We’ll be back……..and back………..and back to this fantastic club!

Great club rooms, dinner and bar opens at 5 just love it!
Kids playground is great, pump track is great too, we use the BBQs and let the kids go wild, great spot!

A pit stop in the charming town of Callington... Cross the single lane Bridge with water both sides in the creek. The Memorial Oval has clean amenities, ♿ 🅿 and ♿🚻. The loos are very roomy with ambulant railings. My Grandboys had a play in the playground before hiding painted rocks for others to find..

The new oval bistro is fantastic. Great food ,beautiful service and prices are very reasonable. Recommended 100%

Great day at the park with bbq facilities then had a beautiful meal at the footy club for really cheap.

Callington show was great, even though it was raining.

Home to me, council improvements are good, lovely open space, quiet so you can heat the birds!
