What to say about this beautiful safari experience we had. Definitely once in a lifetime you should visit here. What a beautiful management and lovely staff out there. Without any queue we bought the tickets and went into the beautiful safari bus and we saw so many different animals in this safari
Children had good sight of all the animals and we had fun filled day. We went on Anzac day and it was open. The shop is amazing and lovely cafe inside and outside.

Loved the experience especially for my son. The safari bus runs every 10 mins, however when we went, there was no waiting for the bus.
Ample parking and cafes inside the park. Can easily spend an entire day inside the park. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommended

This place brought me back to nature with an outstanding trail and wildlife environment. Actually we have 2 options : walking or sitting on the bus. I went on the public holiday so have to be in line for such a long time to wait for the bus in each station because if you choose the trail, there are 3 animals you cannot see. Absolutely will come back next time to enjoy a whole trail and revisit my animal friends.

Monarto Safari Park, you have to put it on your bucket list to visit; in Adelaide’s backyard...make sure you make it out for the day; you'll need the whole day for sure....enjoy!!! 😎 Amazing....🦘🦏🦒🦙🦬🐆🐎🦧🐈‍⬛

Absolutely loved going. First time going didn't disappoint. If going with family of 3+ be aware might struggle more getting onto full buses.

This park is relatively new with alot of potential.
You have a choice to either walk the trails of abt 12kms in total, bus it around or use the stops to your advantage. Courtesy buses run every 10mins from certain areas.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit i decided to trade in my daily pass for an annual pass.
Now i can go back and capture the animals at my leisure.
Worth the visit and the price.

Had an awesome day at Monarto beautiful animals the volunteers all very friendly and full of interesting knowledge of the animals and their habitats the bus drivers are all friendly had a nice lunch even with the emu’s company lol. I will return when the elephants enclosure is up and running and they’re building a hotel overlooking the zoo which should be fantastic for tourism in SA. The giraffe feeding and the carnivore display from the zoo keepers were sensational !!

If you can spend all day you can hear fascinating descriptions at each section of the park. If not the best option is to take the bus. It will go through every section of the park. Highly recommended. I really don't know about the Lion 360 experience. But I heard that lions only come to the observation cage if they are hungry otherwise bad luck.

My son loves to visit Safari Parks rather than Zoo's as he likes to see animals in open areas rather than in the cage. We totally loved this place. It is spread across hectares of land. Their website has all the details to plan the trip/visit ahead of time. There's AC bus service which operates every 15-30mins from one drop off point to another. There are volunteers or guides in the bus who provide more information about the habitat and animals.
The only thing to be looked upon by the management team is related to the canteen/kitchen area - food is not sufficient.
Rest Everything is just great and well maintained. Thank you so much for the experience.

An amazing experience especially if you have kids.
The tour guides are wonderful and explain the animals really well. The bus makes it perfect to get around as its 12km of walking. You can still get off the bus at certain points and back on if needed.

Amazing, just amazing. Friendly and humorous staff that will help you with anything. You can either take a walk throughout the park or either go on the bus (free) and experience inside the enclosures. There's water fountain at some bus stops which was really handy.

Love this place, which has been made even better since the new Visitor Centre opened. Can't wait to visit when the new hotel Safari Park area opens up so I can go glamping! The staff & volunteers are friendly & knowledgeable, and the buses around the park make for a comfortable journey. But...the animals are the 'stars of the show' and are what keeps me & my family coming back.

We had a wonderful time at Monarto Safari Park. We drove there from Adelaide city which took around 1 hour and arrived at 11am. We stayed there until 3pm and managed to see most of the animals along with a giraffe feeding experience at 2pm. The entry pass and giraffe feeding experience is quite expensive but worth it in my opinion.

Some tips:

- The bus travels slowly and stops often to let guests see the animals so don't expect to get to the next stops quickly. Also expect a long queue on popular days.

- If you have limited time, I would suggest you stop by the Chimpanzee enclosure as you wouldn't be able to see them from the bus. The bus route will pass by most of the other animals which will give you an opportunity to see it from the bus.

Absolutely amazing experience. The park is well maintained, and great to see animals in a bit more natural habitat. Keepers are knowledgeable and volunteers very passionate. A lot of play areas for the kids, as well as clean bathrooms readily available. Well worth a visit!

Took our Son and Grandson for the day. The whole family had a fantastic time. Great tours and amazing tour guides. Very knowledgeable and more than happy to answer questions. Price was great. And the kids loved the souvenir shop. We are already planning our next visit.

It just keeps getting better and better. So much to see and do.
Volunteers and staff are fantastic (shout out to Vicki - premium safari tour (great host), volunteer Trevor and driver John who made the best of a journey where the microphone died and lion gates wouldn't open)

Tips....
- Plan your visit carefully and allow for the extra visitors on weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
Extra visitors mean extra busy and a few bottlenecks with everyone seemingly waiting all at the same time for buses.
Buses come every 10mins but waits can be longer during these peak times.
Many of the walks are under 20mins and are great....we spotted many native species including an echidna and red capped robin and at the viewing areas, some of the African species.
- Hop on a bus and do the full loop then once you know what you really want to do catch another bus and return to a viewing area of your choice.
- Take snacks and enjoy at various places around the park but take your rubbish with you.

Monaro Safari Park, just a short 45-minute drive from Adelaide, is an absolute must visit for families and animal lovers alike. Spread across a large parcel of land, this open-area zoo offers an immersive experience like no other.

Whether you prefer walking along the well marked trails or hopping on and off comfortable buses, there are plenty of ways to explore the park and encounter its majestic residents. From lions to giraffes, chimps to rhinos, you can expect to see a wide variety of fascinating animals.

For a truly unforgettable experience, consider opting for one of the ticketed encounters. Led by knowledgeable and caring keepers, these up-close experiences allow you to connect with the animals in a meaningful way.

While food and drink options are available on-site, they can be a bit pricey as expected. It's a good idea to bring along a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout your visit.

Overall, Monaro Safari Park is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring South Australia. As the largest safari park outside of Africa, it offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and create lasting memories with loved ones.
