Currently no diving due to revegetation. Many birds enjoying the wonderful area.
Toilets available and easy parking. Short walk to pontoon.

Well worth the short 2min walk to the ponds. We jumped in for a quick swim ultra clear water. Although very chilly worth the quick swim.. must do.

Have enjoyed visiting this beautiful conservation park on several occasions. Keep coming back because I want to see more. Took the walk along the trail today and loved it even more! Encountered a tiger snake slowly moving across the trail! Two swans were enjoying the peace and serenity of the fresh water flow near the ocean. Hundreds of dragonflies everywhere! Next time I will have my full length wetsuit so I can finally snorkel there as well!

Great spot to snorkel. Not much to see in the shallow ponds though. Wish we had our scuba gear on though as the chasm would have been fantastic to explore. (Need cave accreditation of course).

Water was 15 degrees! But I had a wetsuit. Nice area to get changed before walking to the ponds. There is a long drop toilet there if needed. There is a ladder there that you can use to get into the ponds. My husband saw a long nicked turtle! I saw fish. Beautiful colours and grateful for the adventure. Don't forget to book your time and pay before going!

Absolutely Beautiful
Please if you go anywhere near here please drop in.
The water is crystal clear and you can see the little fish swimming around.
Very well looked after and the walking trails are very nice to walk on.

The ponds are gorgeous and well worth seeing how clear the water is - I’d also recommend the boardwalk further down the road for some truly lovely reeds, ocean and river sites. It’s flat and not too long.

It's a real short drive off the highway, and the few turns and stretching straights make for a quick aesthetic drive to your location of destination. The car-park is simple, sorrounded by the ponds themselves and the tall swamp grass that comes with it. You have the option of an up to date toilet facility, if all the water starts to make you want to go. There is a real nice, mysterious walk only a couple hundred metres, hedged and hidden by all the grass and native fauna. When you reach the ponds, it really is an awe inspiring site, and i haven't seen anything quite like it.

Wow!!!!water is so clear... it was incredible. No wonder its a diving spot. Wish i could see whats under... no swimming unfortunately. And diving needed permit. But even just to see from platform is already amazing.

Great place to visit and to do some scuba diving if you have the certification to do so. Please note you have to pay a permit as well. 100% recommended.

Beautiful clear crisp fresh water. Perfect for snorkeling through the various water plants looking for small fish. We definitely needed a wetsuit in early January.

For a relaxing swim or snorkelling this pond will satisfy any swimmer/snorkeller. Remember to purchase a permit with the time before going to these ponds. 2 people maximum allowed in pond for an hour. An hour is enough because the water is very cold, which drains your energy. A minimum of two people helps with preservation.

Don't expect an oustanding visual scene but, if you love nature and it's integration into a geological oddities like the sinkholes in this area, marvel at all the layers of biosystem in this deep, crystal clear, freshwater area.

I had just snorkelled the Ewan ponds and when I dived in here was at first disappointed. The first pond was almost bare. However Ewan ponds had surprises through every clump of rushes and so I looked for the telltale opening and there it was. After breaching the gap I was spellbound. The glory before me was breathtaking.

Great place for a snorkel. The water can be crystal clear if not stirred up. Fun exploring the Ponds and Reed beds. Some interesting water birds can be seen here. Saw Brolgas, Crested Grebes and Swamp Harriers on our visit. Small shelter at car park to change into wetsuit. Has little pontoon jetty with ladder to assist entry and exit. Permits for snorkeling and scuba are required. Can be obtained at the Mt Gambier parks office or online.
