I got a CA18 race sump done by Lewis engines. Workmanship is top quality and communication was great during the process, specially taking into account I'm in the other side of the planet, which wasn't a problem for the sump to be shipped, worked on and sent back.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Darren abilities and will definitely deal with him again in the future.

Jake DRIFTSQUID Jones here, been using the LEWIS ENGINES Race sumps since my first built RB25 back in 2009. The same sump is still going strong to this day! Awesome product and highly recommend them for anyone building an RB engine.

Lewis engines is absolutely fantastic. I asked Darren for a Stage 1 head package with oversized valves for my SR head. I sent the head from Sydney down to SA via courier which Darren organised. The head got damaged in transit but Darren the absolute legend had another and gave it to me at an unbelievable price. The communication throughout the build was fantastic and Mr Darren Lewis is one of the best engine builders in Australia and I would highly recommend Lewis engines to everyone I know into motorsport because if you want it done right and you want to go fast and your engine to perform and last, Go to Lewis engines. I won't use anyone else 10/10 service communication and knowledge.

I contacted this company in regards to my barra race engine set up that im planning on doing.

I originally had some trouble contacting via email for some reason the email listed on the website was saying it was an invalid email, but i contact them by the phone number provided on the website and they were very helpful when i explain the problem i was having. I gave them my email instead and they quickly sent me an email to resume contact and fixed the problem i was having.

Have had no problems at all with communication so far very polite and helpful on both phone and email.

Currently halfway through my build and communication has been 100%.

When ever I have been up to the site at short notice, Lewis Engines has always been accomodating to welcome me in no matter how busy they are.

I even get to absorb some of the wealth of knowledge this builder has (for free).

Absolutely happy with my engine journey so far.

Lewis engines... 🤟 Where do I start? After having a pretty rough beginning to the week it seemed to just keep going. I was driving home coming off back callington road hit the bitumen only to realise my 2 front tyres had popped. My phone was dead and I had my 3 year old in the car. I had no one to call my only solution was to pull in to Lewis engines and hopefully someone was able to help me.
it was after hours and Lewis was more then happy to help me fix my tyres. The communication was amazing the service was quick and thorough and done with a smile. I'd be more then happy to send my xr6 turbo too him for work anytime.

If it’s a daily driven HILUX, a family’s 350hp Chrysler speed boat or a 700hp boosted 4 Cylinder Lewis Engines has built it all for us. His workmanship is A Class, Darren is a wealth of knowledge in his profession and has given me great advice post builds. His on going support even after all the builds is second to none.

Ordered a rb25 custom sump, was easy to deal with and more then accompanying with changing details during the build. Great guy and very knowledgeable.

Absolute quality

Absolutely would not recommend, don’t waste your time here. Sent an rb26dett head in for some machining and check over, sent in Aug 2023 and was told he couldn’t start the job for a month which was fine, there was no response despite the 2 emails I sent until Jan 2024, and was told he’d have it done by feb, then no response till May, invoice was settled straight away, received the head a week later but with the wrong cams, r32 spline drive style instead of the r34 yoke drive, early emails mentioned it was for an r34 and also had the old cams to go off, he wanted to resolve the issue by sending me an r32 sensor then never heard from him again when I said I’d rather keep the r34 sensor and change the cams to the right ones.
