Mentone Beach Dog Off Leash Area

This is a stunning beach and perfect for dogs to safely play, with shallow safe water and sand bars for walking on.

A wide beach with small waves which is ideal for dogs. Being down the bottom of a hill means there’s little chance the dogs can run on the road too.

Sometimes there’s conical seashell egg sacks on the beach, which are unattractive but safe around dogs.

Local community of dog lovers are supportive and there’s never any issues with out of control canines in my experience.

A lot of space for dogs to run and the beach is also quite far from the road so its pretty safe for the dogs.

Great area for dogs to experience the beach, sadly poos are still a problem as some owners still don't pick up after their dogs, despite availability of free poo bags at the carpark above...
Also if there was a simple gate to stop dogs running back up to the road it would be fantastic and add to owners' peace of mind and confidence when training their dogs for recall.

Great place for dogs to run around and swim. Not fenced so make sure doggo is well trained.
