The pork ribs and the brisket were delicious as with the corn and bread. The only disappointment were the wedges.

The service by Jack was excellent from the suggestions during the ordering process, to making sure we are enjoying our meal.

Indoor seating only, we walked in without reservation for 2 people for dinner on a Saturday night.

We were served with popcorn while we waited. We had the beef burnt ends and beef Briskett which was served with coleslaw, Mac n cheese and buttermilk cornbread - it was a lot of food for 2 people we had to package the rest to go which was another serve. Recommend all dishes.

Food was delicious, food fantastic and prices great - 10/10 will eat here again.

Wow! Smokey Jake's delivers. From the moment we walked in, Jake was very attentive to serving us. He had a beautiful place. The front dining room was inviting with lots of wood and light, the back patio felt like you were able to enjoy the summer sun and see where all the magic happens as you can watch the meat smoking from your picnic table, and the upstairs is like a little hidden retro bar. It even had free old school video arcade games that ushured in the good vibes. The selection of yummy meats was hard to choose. We settled on a platter for two and chose 3 different meats, burnt ends, smoked ham, and beef ribs. The sauces were spot on from what I experienced growing up the southern US. We also had corn bread, fried mac and cheese bites, ancho chilli corn on the cob, and slaw. Everthing was super tasty. If you are looking for a relaxing place to eat proper southern barbecue with amazing service, look no further than Smokey Jake's. He will take good care of you.

My family and I dined at Smokey Jake's and had a pleasant experience. The service was good, and the food, primarily centered around meat dishes, was well-cooked and generously portioned. The central location was convenient, and the restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Tuesday evening, creating a relaxed dining atmosphere. A solid choice for a satisfying meal.

After waiting for this place to open for almost two years it was great to finally be able to eat here. The food was exceptional and of a much higher quality than I expected. Smoked meats were all delicious and tender.

Fitout is great and the staff were all friendly and approachable. Looking forward to eating here regularly in the future.

A small delicious gem in the middle of Ormond, easy accessible via train or car. Had a work function there lately and decided to pre order the meals to make it easier for the kitchen. The communication with Jake was from start superb, open and comforting. The service itself was professional and we felt well looked after. Food was delicious, fresh and well yeah- smokey! As you expect it from a BBQ place. Very good. Overall 5 star from me as I felt very comfortable from start to finish amd so did my work colleagues.

What a find! Great brisket taken to another level by the au jus. Chicken Maryland was delicious. All the sides we tried were good, too, with the smoked olives, smoked garlic bread, and slaw the standouts. As homesick Americans ourselves, we took a chance on this place for a family birthday dinner and we're glad we did. The friendly staff even threw in a little something extra (and also delicious) when they heard we were celebrating a birthday. Amazing value for the price. We will definitely be back as often as possible!

Great bbq with good selection of meats. American bbq. Sides and pickles have some vegetarian options.

An unassuming venue with a lovely beer garden and a great homestyle feel. Amazing slow cooked meat, looks beautiful and tastes great. The stand out dish last night was the pork belly and brisket, but we will definitely be back again to try the rest of the menu.

The food was amazing, a variety of dishes to cover big eaters but also lighter dishes and veggie options. Great local craft beer selection and the service was amazing with friendly staff. They're also opening an upstairs bar.

Underrated Ribs and Wings BBQ. I don't think I've had better customer service. Waiter was extremely helpful without being overbearing. Service 10/10

Ordered Carolina reaper wings and chips. Both were superb.

Smokey and delicious. Reaper sauce had great kick.

The restaurant also threw in some spicy popcorn and I was like WTH but it was awesome.

I love this place. Trust the staff to make recommendations and you can't go wrong. Kentucky mule cocktail is outstanding.

Lunch in the beer garden today. Pork and beef rib were excellent as were the chips. Friendly staff and a great place for a couple beers out the back.

The meat was deliciously tender and smokey as heck.
The beef short ribs were the best I've ever had, and the smoked popcorn snack was a great treat! The staff were wonderful and accommodating, and Jake himself came out to talk to everyone. Great neighbourhood vibe, can't wait to go back

Really amazing food! The ribs are actually smoked and you can taste the quality. The sauces compliment the meats well. The brisket has good flavour and extremely tender. Can’t rave any more about this place. Also the pricing is extremely good!

We had delicious take away from Smokey Jakes to celebrate our Anniversary in lockdown. Not only was the food just as delicious as eating in, but they really went above and beyond to help make our night special.

We also purchased a selection of beers to complement our food. Fabulous experience on all dimensions.

Definitely would recommend everything we’ve eaten from here. All of the meats and the sides are delicious. Double recommend the cauliflower, and we never miss the mac and cheese either.
